5 games, 4 wins and a draw and 13 out of 15 points. No, we shouldn't get rid of Egan. No, Berge isn't crap and a waste of money. Hecky IS doing a fantastic job. Yes, there's room for improvement and constructive criticism. But if you can't enjoy the past 5 games including a 96th minute equaliser tonight then maybe football isn't your game.

Going into festive period 5 points ahead of 3rd and 7 ahead of 4th.

Now it’s 9 and 11 plus 12 points ahead of 7th (when it was 10 before).

I’d say that’s a pretty decent run, even allowing for Burnley to gain a 2 point greater lead on us.

Spot on, pal. Loved the late equaliser:) It washed away the frustration of the game.
Some of the Blades on the forum need a reality check. They seem to think we can play like Brazil and win every week. Anything less is to be vilified.

In a great position to get promoted. UTB!

Yeah, I'm all for criticism when it's warranted or there's lack of effort. But that's not the case here. I like these players, this team. 👍⚔️

It’s also worth pointing out that we have played 2 more away games than home games.

We’re top of the away table still.

Next two matches against 16th and 18th at home present good opportunities.

I’ll be quite surprised if any team other than us or Burnley gets to 80 points.

To achieve this, Blackburn will need 38 more. That’s 1.90 points per game. They currently average 1.61, 74 over the season.

Watford, current holders of the Shirecliffe Sniper average 1.53, which extrapolates to just under 71 points and would need 2 points per game.

Boro, on 1.5 points per game, 69 over a full season, need 2.05 points per game.

Millwall and Luton are accruing 1.56 which would take them to just under 72 and would need 1.95 per game to reach 80.

Meanwhile, after the start we have had, 1.96 points per game, we would need to drop down to 1.45 points per game, which would be similar to Preston.

That’s why it’s time to make hay in the next two home games. One game at a time I’d agree but two wins and you’d only need the form of Hull to reach 80 points.

When you break it down, it is a big ask to outperform top teams in at least 1/5 of the remaining matches.

I hope we can go on a great run until the end of Feb where we’ll be putting a fair few teams out of the reckoning plus of course who knows what the window may bring?
