Player Suggestion Fernando Forestieri

Our fans baffle me at times.

He might get slated now but if we signed him the hatred would no doubt completely go away (see Madine).

I don't like Forestieri and that will continue if in some bizarre twist we sign him.
He's shit and has a bad attitude ,we wouldn't sign him or at least wilder wouldn't not even on a free with chansiri paying his wages

Watford couldn't wait to offload him when they hit the prem. He's overrated and has proven to be a petulant, selfish little prick. One good season in three for the Pigs and I doubt he will ever exceed the 15 goals he got then.

I would much rather he bled them dry for another year or so and chipped in with the odd goal between twanging his hamstrings.

It’s a no from me but it would be funny to put a very public low ball offer in for him. Say £500k.

His fitness record rules him out.

Plus CW has a no dickheads rule. (Bent slightly for Madine)

Their fans absolute devotion to him beggars belief. Why?

Same reason they love Bruce, over-rate Fletcher and Bannon and repeat any 'rumour' that CW is leaving. They're fucking desperate and it's been so long since they've seen a decent player they don't know what one looks like.

CW will have more than enough on his plate next season without trying to sort this little shit out.

I'd rather we looked at Wolves' Adama Traore (currently available for loan).

So...would you?

Simple question.

Don't be silly :)

Why would CW wish to sign Fernando "it's not fair, he's on more than me so I'm not getting on the bus to Norwich" Fernando?

Would CW risk the upset of the dressing room for him?

You know the criteria CW sets for bringing players in, so why mention this players name?

Apart from his personality, he's not good enough. So no.

Besides everything else, his goals and assists record is shit for a player of his supposed ability.

Don’t think he fits Wilders ‘Character Blueprint’ so I’d say, he’s got about as much chance of being signed as Patrick Bamford ;)

I doubt very much Wilder would even ket him park his car in the car park, never mind walk though the door for talks.

Hardly fits in with our team ethos does he

He's in the last chance saloon if he wants to achieve anything at the top level in his career.

If there are no concerns about his attitude and the wage demands weren't stupid I'd have him here. He's a versatile attacker with a lot of quality and energy. He could be productive playing for Wilder.

Looks like he has a year left on his contract so they can't expect to get big money.

I doubt he's been injured for half the time he's been missing.

And if we signed him our fans would take about 5 seconds to be won over.

Don't be silly :)

In my defence, I’m well aware of his appalling attitude. But I wonder if at some point the petulant little twat might grow up and become the player he could be with some graft and decency.
There’s no doubt he’s talented. And in the Duffy role he would be pretty dangerous IMHO, but unless he was scandalously cheap and prepared to take the wage hit to sort himself out I too wouldn’t go anywhere near him.

Points accepted Grizzly but:

Imo, his attitude is ingrained
Pigs wouldn't sell him cheap, especially to us
I din't see Fairy taking a pay cut, especially when stepping up to the Prem

A Championship striker who has scored 5 goals/season for the last 2 years, often unavailable, once refused to play, on a reported £50,000/week. It would be a hard sell to Chris Wilder. He sounds like he'd be a perfect signing for Middlewood Rusties.

So it’s a no I think from Mr Grumpy:rolleyes:

Ignore the diving and cheating...and the demands for pay rises, and his apparent lack of commitment to get fit...he’s a talented footballer!!
Wonder if Wilder could sort the little shit out?;)

Looking at the subsquent replys it seems I hit the nail firmly on the head.

Would rather suck a wookies frozen rear sausage dump than have that little shite at the lane.
It's a no from me.

Liked for 2 reasons, a) I agree with the sentiment and b) for providing the most bizzare piece of imagery I am likely to encounter all weekend! :)

He is the sort of clever player we will need, similar to Didsy, Hogan or Madine's injury history.
McCabe is leaving so the sanction of £50m spending is dubious, so value for money will be found at the FFP clubs and players for the right price others don't want to risk- FF is in that high risk high rewards category.

I don't understand why some of you are so.desperare to take players that have been bleeding our neighbours dry with their mercenary attitude towards that club ,you all seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that they will suddenly turn into passionate pro's who will die for the badge because wilder is such a good motivator .you fail to appreciate that wilder brings in certain types of character because they are exactly the kind to respond to his style of management and he talks a lot of having big characters in the dressing room in order for it to self police

I can only assume that the thought of taking their toxic wasters and watching them Outstandingly perform for us is blinding your judgement

Half the forum is pissed.

The other half is drunk.

McGoldrick was a crock until he came here. I'd have him here form the right money and provided Wilder could keep him on the straight and narrow.

The actual antithesis to Sheffield United football club. Pigs would bleed us dry for him. Career now on the decline. Never.
