Player Suggestion Fernando Forestieri

Surely not? The s** is suggesting we want him and are willing to pay £14M!!! I’d like to think we could do better and that we wouldn’t spend so much on a player who does it a few times a season! He is also a prick and could threaten the atmosphere here.

If we were spending around that range I’d rather we signed Callum Robinson or Joe Lolley.

I smell bullshit.

Haha! No surprise that Wilder's a fan. He'd fit into our team and we need this type of player. Keep him fit, manage him right, and he could be very good.

But £14m? Good joke. Try half of that.

Oh, and he's foreign.

So while I rate him too, I hope he's not at the top of our list.

Agree with most of that. If he was fit he would be a very valuable asset to the club.

People questioning his personality and antics etc. And rightly so. On the pitch he comes across as a petulant diving prick...

... but (for some reason) I follow him on Instagram and he's a genuinely nice guy and looks to be a good character around their club.

I'd take him for less than £10m

I don't think he's a bad character at all to be fair. But if I was being paid about 50k p/w to do fuck all in the Championship I'm sure I could put on a convincing nice guy act as well...

If he was fit and not a diving wanker then yes.
You cant take it away from him that hes an excellent footballer at times.

Hes a money grabbing c*nt.

Next.

The diving is twattery of a high order. It’s the going on strike (twice at the pigs?) that would worry me most.

At the Sun do they have some random generator that spews out a team, then a player and then a price tag?
I’d say it’s his agent, he will want out and the pigs need him out. He’s not even in the top 10 strikers in the division though so I don’t know why they all think he will move up and not down.

The Sun's been doing this rubbish for decades, long before agents had any significance.

£14m? For an often injured malcontent? Who's on 50k a week? Basically 2.5m more than Brooks. Come on, there's bullshit and then there's this

They'll get £0 for him because everyone knows the financial mess they are in. Whoever writes these stories is a complete moron

Didn’t realise he was 29 as well. Definitely wouldn’t pay £14m for him bearing that in mind.

Excellent footballer at times but would fall at the first hurdle of Tufty's Twat Test. It's a no from me.
Possibly, but somehow I think that the parameters for Chris's 'twat test' may have to be reset slightly in the Premier League.

If this is not just click bait bollocks, the fee is ridiculous for starters. But if we agree a fee below £10m, he accepts a pay cut, which he’d surely have to do, then that would indicate the right attitude to me.

To smash the transfer and wage budget for him (at £14m and his current salary £45k) I’d think it quite a big risk.

Not sure what his contract situation is but we may be better getting in his head and let him force the move and cause unrest. Still would need to drop to £30k per week I think.

At 14m, I'd say this is a non-starter.

At half that, I'd say, it wouldn't be a bad signing.

I do tend to think there are better options out there though.

I genuinely don't think he will alter his approach a great deal. He clearly has a huge emphasis on creating a positive group environment which has served us well in the last three years so why disrupt that?

Callum Robinson is surely a very obvious comparison and alternative.

He's much younger, in much better form and would also be cheaper. Also British.

I don't see why we wouldn't try to sign him first.
Exactly. From what I’ve seen based on goals per minute he’d have got 24 goals if he’d been fit all season playing from the wing!
