The power of the blades. Havent enjoyed a game like that in ages. Great second half and finally we battered someone!mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm someone

Once we get in front against teams we start to look very good. Some lovely football today once we had Bury chasing the game. Another thoroughly enjoyable afternoon under Danny Wilson. ;)

Simmo - 6 - Steady and under-employed
Lowton - 7 - Quiet, unchallenged at first, then had some fun at the end
McGuire - 7 - Commanding
Collins - 8 - Yes, that is an eight folks
Lecs - 7 - good value
Quinn - 8 - cocky
D-Mac - 6 - The odd great burst - looks like cover only
Doyle - 7 - Solid, calming
M-L - 6 - Random but involved in the first 2 goals
Porter - 6 - Scored and worked hard enough
Cress - 6 - The usual graft

Tonne - looks a nice footballer
Willo - Please stay fit...
Flynn - Put some good crosses in late on

Ref - gave us everything. Good lad. :)

JD - don't you reckon Sodje was v lucky to stay on? Incredible challenge on LJF in fiorst half followed by an elbow on Cress when ref played advantage, followed by hauling Porter I think down in 2nd?

Honest answer - I don't recall any of those three incidents. :)

2 big grumbles ,I predicted Tonne to score the last goal on shoutbox ,but got greedy and went for 3-0 to the Blade double ;-(
That sprinkler has been sticking up for years but the ball was never on ground on that bit of the pitch.
Oh ...and its Bury not frigin Berry.

I thought Picken was the most dirty defender, but all in all they came to try and kick lumps rather than have any other plan. I just hope Quinn can stay in one piece as I'm betting he's covered in bruises after every game.

I'm still in shock that our subs are brought on to carry on playing rather than just shore up and hold onto what we have.

Poor choice! Told you it was a good shout if he got time on the pitch :)

Yes, he was very lucky. I saw all the incidents from a not dissimilar view to you, and couldn't believe he wasn't booked for the first one, virtually straight in front of us. I thought Bury tried to play football, but were very cynical when they weren't in possession. Sodje wasn't the only culprit, they put some nasty challenges in.

To be honest he looked to be playing a rather different role today, he seemed to be more of the holding player, I'd have rather seen D-Mac up on the edge of the box, for corners, than at the back covering defence. Still having said that can't grumble, it's another learning curve for the lad. A great team performance in my eyes. Really should have been about 8 - 0 with chances missed from first half.

If Hutton arrives and McDonald gets fit we'll have a squad of central midfielders good enough to win the Championship never mind Div3. K-Mac and Hutton together would be quite an imposing presence - 12 foot 4 inches of Scot!

The first looked awful from up in the Westfield, he simply jumped at Lescinel, the second i think the ref was going to book him but let the advantage go and seemed to forget all about Sodje once he decided to book the other lad.

One thing is about Stephen Quinn, is that he is still is a lightweight, 5' 6" tall midfielder with a heart bigger than he is.

I've seen him get clobbered time and time with reducers again over the years, and he just dusts himself down, picks himself up and gets on with it. He seems to have got that knack of the more you kick him, the better he plays.
