Away at Tranmere probably about 1994, someone in the away end had a trumpet or similar brass instrument and was providing accompaniment for the Blades fans singing.
At some stage a Tranmere player went down injured and was laid there receiving treatment for what seemed an eternity before being slowly stretched off.
At which point the trumpeter broke the silence and started playing the Funeral March until they eventually reached the dugout.
Not a chant but very funny at the time!

But maybe you had to be there 😉

(As inexplicably also posted in ‘5:30 next Saturday’ thread??)

Where did SWFIUA again come from? First time I heard it was just after Brown scored the volley against them in 2003, was it around before that?
It was originally "Jackie Charlton's fucked it up again" but was replaced by the current version when Charlton was succeeded by Howard Wilkinson as Wendy manager in 1983.

In a pub before a Walsall away game there was a bloke with a beard and long hair, cue a load of Blades singing “Jesus lives in Walsall” every time he got up for a pint.

We stopped off in Kings Lynn on the way to Ipswich once, I remember walking back to the bus after a few pints and we were all singing “Kings Lynn’s fucking boring”.

A coach load of us walking around Norwich city centre shouting “Knowing me, knowing you…. aha” for longer than was amusing.

The phantom goal sarcasm at Derby was always one that stands out in my mind. I think it was the season after they were relegated from the Premier League. They took a shot on goal which struck the side netting and from a certain view in the stadium some of their fans thought they'd scored and went mental, until they realised what happened. After that everytime there was a shot on goal from either team the away Blades fans all celebrated a goal and went crazy, mocking Derby's fans. This was pre the "Let's pretend we scored a goal" chant that went round stadiums.

Any new choons being sung yesterday? I were in a bar and couldn't hear owt.

Bet Watford have some bangers against Soton...
