And here’s me thinking Ward should have been (A.) for Ashley!

Up until last season it would have been KE but I just love the way John Fleck plays so he's now the guy.

TC for me.

Astounded that more than one person has voted for Glyn Hodges as their favourite ever player. Had his moments but he was no more than average for much of his time on the pitch.

Astounded at that? Someone’s voted for Mitch Ward! Mitch Fucking Ward.

Tony Currie, no doubt whatsoever.

Another for Glenn Cockerill.

Ask me in a few years time and I've got a feeling that my answer might have changed to a certain David Brooks.

I'm far too old and cantankerous to abide by anybody else's rules, so I'm having three.

St. Joseph Shaw, Sir James Hagan and Lord Currie of Shoreham and anybody who saw any of these can't possibly vote for anyone else if they're being serious.

Started going to games in 1998.

Nobody compares to Billy Sharp (in the last couple of years).

Woody by country mile!
A true 100% Blades hero who didn't fuck off to Leeds.

with it being favourite not best it does make it different & more difficult to pick out more than 1, i can really only choose from last 20yrs that ive seen in person. its so hard because borbokis deano even wayne quinn i loved when i started going back jan 98, actually funny story about borbokis just remembered while writing this. Carragher once famously said on MNF "i look at FBs and I think they’re either a failed winger or a failed CB, No-one wants to be a full-back as a kid. No-one wants to grow up & be a Gary Neville!” but worryingly i think i did, remember being borbokis in the junior school break time kickabouts

then theres peschsolido what a guy. scorer of my favourite goal in my favourite game to be scored at lane. Jags what a talent he was you could put him anywhere on the pitch, he would be class & the injury time thunderbolts v Leeds & Middlesbrough were amazing. also soft spot for Chris Porter really grew to like him over the years. Duffy, Wright, Sharp, Fleck are all getting into that bracket as well

but very tough decision but i would eventually give a 3rd vote for Chris Morgan. as in my time of watching us. hes the greatest captain ive seen. as his motivation, leadership & desire were 2nd to none. i still remember the time he when he headed the ball away from a set piece despite not knowing at the time he had concussion & then got subbed

Wot no Sabella? Bloke first sold the Blades to me

Alan Woodward is probably the only other legend worthy of a statue. He was great servant and a one club man. (Discounting Tulsa Roughnecks)

Could be anyone except Terry Curran, Derek Richardson, Alex Notman, Dean Hammond, John Matthews, Jeff Bourne and many others that were so forgettable oh and Andy fucking Barnsley!!

Trianos Dellas or Santos!

I loved how Tri would walk through the midfield with people bouncing off him. Santos! because Santos!

But I can't really choose either of them because they weren't Blades for long enough.

DEANO! I remember first seeing him at my first match. I'd have to go with him as my favourite player but I bet if you asked again in a few years it will be one of our current squad.

So my vote is for Brian Deane (even though my avatar is Stan the Man).
