I'm wanting to make a little tribute to celebrate the past 5 years, but to do it I need my memory jogging.

Could people reply with their favourite on pitch memory from the past 5 years. Could be a moment, tackle, block, goal, celebration etc etc.

I have quite a few but I'm sure to miss a few and want to make sure to have quite a few different players represented. Also a good reason to reminisce on pre-covid football.

Thanks in advance.

If this easily found elsewhere then I apologise in anticipation of you politely telling me without a hint of sarcasm 😉

Other than the more obvious ones everyone would go for.

Brentford at home.
10 men. 2-0 😀.

Taking the absolute piss out of Man Utd for around 60 mins and then remembering we were Sheff Utd and chucking a 2 goal lead away !

Basham arriving.

The utterly majestic holy trinity.

William of Sharp and his vastly underrated contribution to where we are today.

The 20 minutes Leon made me look like a twat 😉.

Any footage of Wilder pissed up 😂.

UTB

Hiding in back garden when we played Hull away. No radio, nothing, couldn't stand the tension. Bound to make a bollox.
Son found me. "It's 2-0. Hang on, 3 now. Stevens.
I knew we'd go up then.
Only two away games we could get to that season were Bolton and Wigan. Won both 3-0. Brilliant

That was absolutely brilliant 🤣

I would say beating Brentford 2-0 with 10men. That’s when I knew!

Was there any big blocks of tackles in that? My favourite match under Wilder but despite loving it, I can only remember Madine getting sent off.

First 45 minutes against Aston Villa ; perfect performance.
Billy Sharp volley against Weeds.
But got to be Mark Duffy at the sty; sweet Revenge.
Someone already mentioned 10 man performance against Brentford; bringing on Billy a forward when most would have bolstered the defence.
Oh happy days.

So, the list so far...

Duffy - bounce killer
Baldock step over goal vs Norwich
Mousset vs Man U
Billly's volley against Leeds
Leon clean through vs Wendy
Berge stood infront of the crowd at Palace
Brooks vs Hunt
Surman starting on Wilder
Lunny cementing Grealish
Hendo double fist pump to the kop
Fleck to hit it
JOC coming in
Basham arriving
Wilder pitch slide
Brooks vs Leeds

Any more for any more?

Plenty...real bodies on the line stuff. JOC was impassable and Hendo made a couple of cracking saves but it was the tactics to still go forward and create after Madine went. Wilder called the performance ‘art of defending’ and Thomas Frank was even more glowing about us in his presser which was class given it would have been very easy to blame his team rather than applaud ours.

Was that the outside of the foot fade one?

Friday night under the lights at Elland Road, late winner from our young talent to send the away end absolutely potty.

Even sweeter for me at the time as I was working in Leeds, in an office full of Leeds fans. They didn’t see us a threat as it was our first season back but that win took us top of the league. 🤣

I think Benn5712 has smashed the nail on the head, 24th September 2017 Bouncing Day, Mark Duffy tore their defence a new arse and smashed the ball in. My memory is slipping fast but I'll remember that day till I take my last breath, I was at our daughters in Barnsley, I think everyone knew I was a Blade, and I was dancing and shouting (totally what not supposed or allowed to do).

My wife came in and made me sit down and try to calm down, she's seen me collapse too many times getting over excited about United in past few years. I do have many memories but that is my favourite, and I'll never forget it.
