>Cammack scored from inside the penalty box at kop end, not from 40 yards out
'to my childhood eyes'.. there's a clue in there somewhere i'm sure :).. it was definitely outside the box.. and that fish i nearly caught.. it was definitely 10 feet long:rolleyes:
did you go to that one silent?.. 'kin reight match warnit?'

Yes I was there. The firework display probably stunned most of the L**ds players so Cammack took his chance by powering a shot to the roof of the net from about 12 yards

I have to agree the play off game with Forest was my favorite game.

The win 1-0 over Arsenal the other year

Those are my two certainly. The Arsenal game might not be everyone's 1st pick, but I can't remember us putting more effort into a game. The defence from the moment Jags went in goal was nothing short of outstanding.

My favourite game was a fa cup clash with the gooners at the lane. Howard kendell was the manager that yr but we beat the gunners 1-0 from a carl veart goal in the last few minutes.

That and a game against manure at the lane i dont remember the score but i just remember dave tuttle nutting cantona. cantona went down like a bundle of washing and if im honest tuttle barely touched him

Dec 30th 1978, home v Cambridge in the snow. A lead squandered, 3 2 down, a minute left, John Matthews hammers one from around 45 to fifty yards, it almost bust the net.
3 3 .

Mine too - I can't remember if Cardiff were above us or just below, but winning made promotion virtually certain

My best game too. Before the game, we had two games left, a point ahead of Cardiff who had 3 games left. After the 5-1 win, Cardiff had to win their two remaining games and hoped that we would lose our last game at home to Watford. Cardiff beat Orient 1-0 at Ninian Park, on the same day as us beating Watford 3-0, but lost 3-0 at Luton a few days later
