The next open fans forum will take place on the 12th April 2013 - 7pm at the Holme Lea Pub on Handsworth Road (formerly the Handsworth WMC).

At the event, will be club owner, Kevin McCabe and chairman Dave Green who will answer questions from those present.

The event will be ticketed in order to monitor numbers and tickets will cost £1, which will go to Weston Park in aid of their charity.

Anyone wishing to attend can get tickets through the Handsworth Supporters Club or give us a shout and we can point you in the right direction.

As usual, we'll be providing coverage from the event, so if you can't make it - watch this space for details on how to follow proceedings. As ever, if you are unable to attend but have questions you would like to ask, send them to us and we'll do our best to get them answered.
 



And I thought they had stopped having comedy duo's at Handsworth Club LOL, might be worth popping in for the laugh.
 
Have been there twice in the last couple of weeks for functions the place is a shithole bar staff havent a clue
 
In fairness, I think the responses from the Question / Answer session can probably be posted now.......
 
try to answer the following questions, pretending youre kev...

so mr mccabe, why did we lose half our midfield but not sign any replacements?

was it a good idea to sell our top goalscorer?

would you say we waste all our wage bill on clapped out hasbeens?
 
IF, I say IF we get promoted, how the hell will any improvements be funded so it prevents us coming straight back down again?

Huddersfield had a prize asset to sell for a lot of cash and bought a selection of players to compensate but they look like they are going to come straight back down. Charlton may well survive on the strength of their defence and their play maker Johnny Jackson - we have nothing to offer the Championship in our squad, nothing.

So the likes of Maguire and Long are never going to be a beens are they?

We're a league 1 team with league 1 players and some promising youth, if we go up we will have more money for recruitment, if what you read on these forums is what people actually think Im surprised the majority of our fans havent topped themselves by now
 
Maguire and Long are what you say Promising Youth, whether they make the transition to fully fledged Premiership players is still open for conjecture - at the moment they haven't set the world alight in the same fashion as say the two Kyles did when Premier League clubs were clamouring to buy them for millions.
What I do admire is the fact they are learning their trade playing senior football (albeit third division) getting games under their belt rather than do a Jordan Slew, Jacob Mellis and Nick Blackman moving to so called better clubs only to sit warming the bench or being loaned out to fourth division teams for the odd game.

Fair play for what? He's well versed in public speaking, he could have been a politician the way he doesn't answer the questions but leaves you thinking he did and he can cut you off any time he wants. He's constantly surrounded by sycophants and he wouldn't do it if he thought for a single second that he'd be put on the spot. He's not a hero, he's the reason we're in division 3.
 



It will be a replay of the previous ones:

I love it, fair play to McCabe for fucking the club up top to bottom, changing tact and strategy to suit his own agenda (although I'm beyond guessing what that now is) and selling our top scorer again this season.

Beyond that I am wondering what more we should thank him for. Or perhaps we should build an apology in there for him for being mean and nasty fans who expected him to keep us on an even keel, driving the club forward.

Watch out for his "Well it could be worse, we could be where Coventry etc are". And some will lap it up.

Question I would like to ask but living 300 miles away can't :-

You told us at the start of the season we were going to invest in youth and build from the ground up. We bought in a young player and within 6 months you sold him and replaced him with a loanee. YOU sold him, so please tell us what the club strategy is and will you please stick to it this time.

McCabe will be getting both barrels on Friday if he's got the balls to attend. I sense a Belgian cold coming on.

Ask him which football team he supports. Is he a Leeds fan? A Pig? Manchester United? Who is it, because when it comes to football he doesn't seem too interested in Sheffield United. He's had years to get it right and apart from his one season in the sun he's done nothing bar watch us get worse and worse and worse. How can any alleged Blade with the clout he's got do that?
 
I just cant see him turning up.

Fair play if he does. but it will be a very interesting evening if he does.

Yeah... still available.

Don't know arrangements etc. as to when we're getting down there as we'll be providing the usual coverage... but could leave the ticket on the door or PM you my number.
