The club is delighted to announce that a fans forum will take place on the eve of the new season, on the evening of Friday 3rd August.

The Platinum Suite doors will open at 6.30pm, before manager Chris Wilder and CEO Stephen Bettis take to the stage, alongside representatives of the co-owners for Q&A session, which will begin at 7pm and last for approximately one hour.

Vice-presidents and colleagues from other areas of the club will also be available to answer queries or questions from those attending on the night.

Tickets for the evening are free of charge and are exclusive to current season ticket holders, however they are limited to one per person on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are on sale now and can be obtained either in person from the ticket office or via the telephone on 0114 253 7200 (option 1), please note there will be a £1 booking fee for telephone transactions.

There will be a licensed bar open on the night and also food available to purchase.

Surely there is a ton of people from here going, who can ask the hard hitting questions of our chairmen, manager and head of recruitment that they seem to ask on a daily basis right here?

Been to quite a few of these before, usually interesting to go to, and you learn one or two things you didn’t know, but they are always very reluctant to tell you the stuff that is going off that they don’t want you to know about.

They won't make a peep.

Every opportunity they have to challenge a manager or ownership on an issue they make some bullshit excuse to back out of it. It's been the same story in the past 10 years I've been knocking about on messageboards.

Let's just post a thread with the title 'Letter To McCabe/*manager X* ' on here, safe in the knowledge that the half-baked rant never be read by anybody of note.

All fart and no shit.

I'm sure there'll be that many straight bats played, old Geoffrey 'wife beater' Boycott would be proud!!

I sincerely doubt that, guess who's been booked for the catering.........................

I've been to Ice Hockey related ones and it's much the same thing. Not necessarily a bad night out, but they have a way of creating the impression they are telling you a lot, when really they aren't telling you very much.

These things keep the natives quiet but at the end of the day are of little real worth.

The Fan Forum that made it to Youtube (I know we aren't allowed to judge anything from there) looked like decent questions were asked alongside a few inane ones and it was there the actual figure we received for Mellis came out and McCabe did his 'comedy spot'. I thing that was a response to a, 'why do we always sell players for not enough?' And the answers were good and believable (for those who'd say he'd say anything). With the next one I'd imagine ownership may be out of bounds or at least very limited as it is the subject of court action.

Ask him how he'd feel if he offered £5m for a player and after the other side agreed he found out it was only for 20% and some crook owned the other 80%.

Does it not say representative's of the owners? If that is right we ain't going to really get to know much about the issues at the top, disappointing but understandable, although that is the most important issue at the moment.

It is important, but I can't see much being said about it given that it's going through the courts. And anything you will hear, will be pretty much what we already know, but daisyed up a bit.

But they want a photo of them with their arm around him...

:)

Good time to break the transfer record just before a fans forum with boardroom unrest upsetting everyone.

Always good for keeping the fans, owners and manager communicating.

The club has been criticised in the past for not doing enough. Now it does what it can

The club has a requirement to do a number of these according to league rules. I can't remember us doing more than two which is the minimum requirement: https://www.efl.com/supporters/supporters-charter/consultation--supporter-engagement/

"In June 2016, following the Government’s Expert Working Group on Supporter Ownership & Engagement (EWG), in which the EFL played an active role, clubs introduced new regulations requiring clubs to engage with their supporters in a structured and regular manner. Clubs are required to meet with a representative group of supporters at least twice a season to discuss significant issues relating to the club. The framework for each club’s specific consultation strategy is to be documented within its customer charter. For its part, the EFL will meet with the supporter organisations at a national level and club groups on an ad hoc basis whenever needed".

No they won't
But then again they won't be allowed to
I've been to one of these and people might as well have been asking Teresa May for a straight answer

No, that's Chancer's style of megalomania not allowing any opposition or discussion. At least we get to have our say on the Henderson's allocation to the South Stand.

Now go away. I'm still having a bad day.

Why would anyone on this forum be the least bit interested in what's happening over at North Korea?

No one tells us to queue in an orderly fashion when we need to piss.....neither are we asked to show our tattoos of the beloved leader in order to secure a seat....

The idea of being handed a list of permitted questions that must be asked is something that only you lot would tolerate.....when will the penny drop that there's a world of difference the Blades and the unwashed?

Which one? Where was it held, who from the club was there? Give us an example.,
