Fans back in grounds

How can it possibly be fair that teams located in Tier 2 areas can have fans in games but not in Tier 3 areas?

It has much less of an impact in the Premier League (Liverpool having 2,000 in will hardly make any noise) but still gives a small advantage. Fulham are allowed fans but ourselves, Burnley and West Brom aren't. How is that fair?

Going down the divisions it's even worse. For instance, Carlisle have 3 home games next month and can get half their average attendance in, whereas Mansfield can't have any home fans.

It's completely skewing the games towards the home team IF they happen to be in a Tier 2 area.

Why aren't football fans up in arms about this?!

Who said anything about it being fair? Why are our pubs shut but pubs in other areas are open?

I'm not talking about to the fans, that's another matter, but to football as a sport. It's giving some teams an unfair advantage, purely based on geography.

Would it be fair to stop the clubs that are allowed to admit fans from doing so? There are some clubs that desperately need the revenue.
 
I think it would be very harsh to say some teams can't have fans just because we can't. We need to get fans back in and prove it can be done. It's not really fair but football needs fans back wherever it can.

In terms of other teams having an advantage over us, it can't exactly get much worse than it is currently so a change might do some good.
 
Maybe just any people watching will make us play less like nobs even if they're away fans.

It's a fair point but if we're saying home games are an advantage then teams with 2k behind them, lower down the table at least, are at a competitive advantage to those in tier 3.

the 2k number goes all the way down the divisions. Not a great impact on us but in Division 2....
 
Individual voices will be more audible. Probably for the best we don't have 2k in there for now. Our lads seem to be quite sensitive at the minute.

Yeah but a competition is supposed to be fair with everyone on the same level playing field.

I want fans to return but surely fans return when all clubs can have fans.

Seems odd the recent reports that are saying pubs, cinemas and theatres could be full (indoors) but football grounds (outside) won't be full to capacity after the restrictions are lifted in June...saying 50% at the Euros after June 21st into July

They are saying they are concerned about large crowds and the mixing before games in terms of congregating at pubs/transport etc. Seems they are scared of upscaing things too quick but you wonder what is going to be different in 12 months? Suppose all be jabbed x 2 then but most will be done by August anyway. I hope this is not the way football is going to be for the foreseeable future.

Seems if right that the Lane might be half full come August. So we are talking 15,000?

I was hoping we might all be back by August but seems unlikely if above is right. Disappointing news if correct and means a lottery/bunfight for tickets each game. Don't imagine season tickets would be sold as they can't satisfy the demand and would not be fair some seeing all the games.

Looking at how they are trialling it with 25% in grounds to start with I cant see it going to 100% this side of Christmas.
