It seems some are unaware of the following posts and an attempt to coordinate fans action.

After today's Interview it seems there is now an appetite.

I asked Foxy to consider something.

Maybe we can test opinion on here now.

Biggs' questions are spot on and so was my letter before that. Maybe a combination of the two signed by 5000 fans would surprise the prince enough to make him think about us fans.

The least we and the manager need is communication and information.

Ok Brownie, copy Foxy .

Straight off the top, 1st draft, please suggest improvements.

Dear ... ........... ( ownersx2)

As fans we would like to thank you for your combined efforts since 2012. The extra investment which helped build our club for success and the appointment of Chris Wilder provided it over the last 2 years with wonderful entertainment and special times for all at the club. Prince ...?.., no doubt you will have been delighted how we fans have responded with support rarely seen at this level at any other club.

The purpose of this letter is to express the anxiety we fans have about the current legal negotiations.

Such negotiations are nothing whatsoever to do with us and we know Mr McCabe always has the long term interests of SUFC in mind and that he respects the prince in that context.

We fans are seeking reassurance at this time. Can you both confirm that steps are in place to provide an appropriate budget for our manager in time for him to improve the squad now and at a pace to help you achieve the medium term objective to reach the Premier League, indeed to be competitive with a promotion push next season. We believe provision of such a meaningful budget is in the interests of the club and particularly both owners, regardless of who takes control in due course. The club needs to build on momentum and not stall it.

Please regard this letter as being in the best interests of our club. We fans do not want to lose the best manager we have had for years and years.

Good luck with the negotiations.

Yours. "

Wilder (and the media since) seem to have fuelled a fire.

Yes Wilder was right to say what he said last week

But Wilder ( in my opinion) needs to focus on his job now, he needs to realise when the time is right to speak his mind and he also needs to realise that when he speaks, he can not only be speaking his mind but also be potentially doing more harm than good.

I have absolute respect for the way Wilder speaks and the job he has done, I also think that some of what he said in his interview today was correct, there were other things that i thought he didn't really need to say.

Wilder knew when he joined the club in the last 2 seasons that the club isn't blessed with Billions, he confirmed this today.

The ownership discussions, whilst the outcome will impact the football club managers job, the discussions, timing and progress are between the owners and probably their legal teams.

McCabe said updated shareholders a while back which gave an insight. I am sure that the owners will speak when there is something to say.

Wilder has said his piece and he has let everyone know that he is not able to progress with his plans. It will be what it will be.

If all that means that Wilder is not happy and takes a decision to leave, then that's his prerogative.

Personally, now i feel that Wilder (and the media) pushing the agenda further is not productive.

The time to organise will be when/if we get taken over. By the Prince or otherwise.

There's been too many instances where clubs have been taken over and fans have only organised once things have gone south. A solid voice for the fans would be needed as soon as a takeover was announced, to work in unison with new owners and guard against decisions which could be detrimental to the club or the fans.

Organising something now seems a bit of a thankless task as there's nothing anybody can do about the current situation which would kickstart a solution. It's one of the most frustrating things about it.

Anyway, if/when something starts, I'd be happy to help in any way possible (but I'm not taking fucking minutes at meetings...I do that enough at work).

Thanks. I like the letter with a few minor edits but surely if there were to be a response it would more likely go to the media, e.g., Biggs, and not a handful of fans. We love to complain but are less driven to act.

Not much of a surprise now is it :D

I knew these old shoes would come in handy!!!!!

LET'S AV IT!!!!!!

Sorry for being the cynical one, but I'm not sure how a letter from c50 disgruntled Northerners to a Saudi Prince and Property Magnate is going to stop an egotistical Northerner taking, if offered, another job for quadruple his current salary....

But you must admit that it could only become more British if tea was served whilst dictating the letter to a scribe with a quill pen.

Sorry but I disagree. That was one of his better interviews today. As he says he sees himself as a spokesman for the staff players and fans. As a fan I've no problem with that. I'm encouraged by what he has said because it seems he's in no-ones camp as far as the ownership dispute is concerned (I'm no ones boy). What he has clearly set out is the terms on which he expects the Club to go forward that includes long term plans just as much as investment.

Kevin McCabe said a few months ago his two best managers were Warnock and Wilder but CW didn't have NW's ego. I think KM has underestimated CW. He's not like NW who hung around for a long time on the back of jam tomorrow promises from KM playing on his affiliation with the Blades.

CW isn't buying the premiership in 5 years model, remember this years Board target was to stay in the Division. He's upset the apple cart by nearly getting in the play offs and wants to kick on and that means a substantially improved budget and a go at getting out of the Division next year. Thats fits with his incremental improvement strategy. CW is in the driving seat he knows there are suitors out there after his services but most important of all he wants to see the club grow and that means a change of strategy at Board level backing his vision.

CW likes to be in control of all the playing issues and that may ultimately be his downfall as very few clubs at championship and premiership level have this structure. For the moment he's earnt the right to put his cards on the table and apply pressure on the owners. It may be a risky strategy but one that the majority of Blades are fully behind.

If the Board don't match his ambition then he will be entitled to move on to the likes of Sunderland who will welcome him with open arms as he is allowed to restructure a sleeping North East giant.

Over to you KM and the Prince.

I'm genuinely torn as to whom to write. My MP or The Daily Telegraph....

As neither are going to influence a grown man making a decision to quadruple his wages (if indeed he is offered) I might just roll the letter up and shove it up my arse. I guess a pokey bum wank is one positive to come out of this whole episode...

I’d prefer to let the discussions run their course and see what we have at the end of it. If the boardroom resembles a bunch of fuckwits looking to reinvent the wheel then these ideas will get much more support.

At this point no one knows and therefore interest is high but action is minimal. That might change if an announcement is made but don’t hold your breath.

When was this promised ? I must have missed it.

Thought it was over at S6 that the owners 'promised' the Prem or bust model and remodeled the season ticket prices to reflect the imminent rise in stature from MASSIVE to ??
