Dear all, this is the first time I have ever posted on this board (although I have read it for ages). I am doing so now specifically to ask for your support on a very important issue.

I have been speaking to a firm of lawyers, and they think there may be a way in which I (or better still a group of us) could take private action against the PL relating to their judgement in the Tevez affair. Without going into all the legal stuff, the PL took into account the feelings of West Ham's fans but not ours, and we have suffered a loss (including a direct financial loss if we are shareholders) as a result of their flawed decision.

I am happy to take this to the next step (and pay the initial legal fees to get it going) but only if i know I have support.

So, please respond to this post if you would be in principle be prepared to support me in taking this to the next stage.

The main purpose of proceeding would be to make the PL face up to the consequences of their actions which I am furious about. I do not think they should be allowed to get away with it.

Ultimately there may be a way in which this could be made some kind of class action on behalf of a group of season ticket holders and/or shareholders. I think it would get a huge amount of publicity.

Please respond to show your support.

What a great idea.

Also got this email about a mass protest at the lane

Heres an idea, a superb idea.

the f.a. took into account the feelings of west ham fans loyalty in deciding to not dock them points, what about our loyalty ?
an average crowd of almost 31.000 fans.
To make the f.a. and the london bias muppetts who run this establishment take notice we need to have a massive protest. Hows about next saturday organising a huge turn out of blades, hopefully in excess of 10,000 to protest in the car park at bramall lane and get massive media attention to our mis-justice.
We could all bring flags scarfs protest banners etc etc etc and < beer of course > and have a few hours stood chanting about how badly we have been treated.
We need to stand together.

Ten thousand pissed off and possibly pissed up football fans demonstrating? How happy will the police be? I can see people getting nicked.

I've emailed the instigator of the case telling him that we exist and he would likely garner further support from more Blades who can't join up to Bladesunited.

And can I just say... PREMIER LEAGUE not FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION :D

In principle it's a good idea, but there are several problems that I can see.

Who is organising it?
Who will control it?
Will there be stewards on hand, and will the club be notified?
Will there be police there? There might not be at first but you can guarantee they won't take long to turn up.
Ten thousand people is a hell of a lot to be stood around the car park, and if people are drinking then I think there could be potential trouble. It only takes a few beered-up dickheads to get out of hand and who knows what could happen?
What if opposition fans hear about this and decide to turn up and take the piss? Will everybody just ignore them?
I remember a car-park protest against MacDonald after we played Ipswich a few years ago, and there were a lot of police, several of whom were armed with video cameras. There were lots of pictures taken by press photographers. I was on page three of the Star!

It is a good idea, but I don't think it would make the Premier League do anything they weren't going to do already, and there are already plenty of people who know how strongly we feel about the whole West Ham fiasco.
A demonstration could easily go wrong, and land both the fans and the club in very hot water indeed.

Mine was in response to the original post... regarding a court case.

Organising a riot, I'm not so keen on :)

cant we take them to court for depression of going down? all get doctors notes... get off work... and sue them!!!!

It's all worth a try though isn't it! Its not a riot as you said anyway. More of a grouping of united fans together really showing that we care.

Yeah I said on BU id support them, every little bit helps and it shows that us so called smaller teams arent a push over.
