I thought the academy comment came against the question of no more short term loans and the academy increases your squad when other teams don't have that

In fairness all we need are a good couple of centre backs in my opinion. We could get away without a striker if we got the most out of what we already have. It was our defence that let us down last season.

If we got those 7 players in for example, I think there would be some justification in us being favourites.

Well ..... it does depend on the quality of who actually comes in to be fair ....... the ones you highlight should be good enough quality for this division certainly.

I've got my optimists head on this week and I'm hoping that the Board have finally learned from their regular mistakes and will allow Tufty to build a squad realistically capable of top two.

To do this, I think we need; GK, 3 x CH, 2 x CM, LW, CF as a bare minimum, hopefully, together with getting rid of the listed players and Scougal.

I'm desperately hoping that the situation is a bit like looking at a duck swimming against the current ........ calm on the surface but working away like fuck under the surface where we can't see !! ;)

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Although I applaud your optimism, we need to get rid of the transfer listed players I reckon. Wilder has a reduced budget. I honestly think we have some good players in key positions. The introduction of Duffy and Hussey will only strengthen us. Also for the record, I'm no Pig if that's what you are suggesting. I'm a blade through and through.

I accidentally heard it on Loose Women as I was walking through the canteen at work the other day. I think thats what they said anyway, just sounds like a bunch of fucking Harpies screeching and getting moist over Peter Andre.
 
I dont get these threads complaining we arent signing a player every day in mid June to get a swuad way before pre season starts

Most staff and players at 90 per cent of clubs are only concerned about applying sun screen just now

Lets wait till lñast few days in May
Chesterfield deliberately only signed Ched now as they knew no ones in the ground and any protesters would only find the groundsman , at their stadium, and he dont give a shit
