Ta very much!! When i saw Kenilworth pop up in my alerts i was bracing myself for some Cov abuse back lol..Kenilworth is a place on the outskirts of Cov!

We've been beaten by some right shit teams , in this league , this season ,
by playing shit football , and by being out muscled by teams kicking us off the park and with weak refs ,
doing fuckall about it , yet I hope none of our fans went onto opposing teams websites, crying like fucking
chabbys, bout being beaten .
Jesus man you got beat , and weren't much better than us to be honest .
Get the fuck over it .
UTB.

Just been at the gym. Sorry for not responding.

Has my good friend (G something?) explained how a team with a 100% record can finish bottom of a league yet?

Nice post :)
By the way, what did Jose do? Go on, tell us, you must know :)

Last time I went to that 'stadium' was to take my lad to the Minecraft geek convention in the summer, my only visit there. No sign of footy being played there, just lots of Wasps posters.
Not so bad attending an exhibition there but you want to try breaking one down and loading into a van. Jeez! Whoever designed that as an exhibition venue wants shooting in the face

I am truly saddened in the way Coventry fans have taken loosing this match, you need to remember that Sunday's game was an emotional time for the club, players and fans with the passing of two people who had served the club exceptionally well in different ways, so if the team was fired up then for good reason, on another note I would like to say thanks to Coventry fans for the respect shown during the clapping in respect before the game. My recollections of going to Highfield Road and the Ricoh have all involved the utter outrage of Cov fans when their players are involved in an incident.
Indeed, when there is the remotest shout for a handball they are more vociferous than many other clubs supporters feeling the pain of wrong doing and incredulity when the decision does not go their way.
I seem to recall us all taking the piss and shouting "handball" every time it went near one of our players.

I've also got friends in the Warwickshire area that are City supporters and when they beat us I get a text or note or summat rubbing it in but if they get beaten then, silence, vacuum, nothing.
I never comment on a win against the opposition because I know how cuntish it is to do so*

*Wendy fans and Dirty L**ds excluded :)

For me, that award goes to Stoke. They go mad for every decision. My memories of Highfield road are 2 consecutive trips where we got screwed over due to a lack of goal line technology. David Thompson having a goal given for them in one game where it hadn’t crossed the line and Robert Page denied one for us where it had. So this time round feels like a nice bit of karma.

I also went to the Ricoh in our promotion season and saw one of the worst blades displays I’ve ever seen. Jagielka at left back. Monty on set pieces. Akinbiyi leading the line. It was awful and we lost 2-0 and I also really don’t like the Ricoh. One of my least favourite stadiums. I did like Highfield Road though. Proper ground with an atmosphere.

haha, love it. Temerity eh? After what some of our players have had to endure (like the McArdle judo throw on Scougs at Bradford right in front of the ref) I couldn't give a shit what they say or think.

Remember going to.highfield rd under bassett when we had secured staying up

Drew 0- 0 and it was a carnival
Think it was one of the first times people turned up in fancy dress for the last game of the season

Was plenty of aggro ( mostly with the police )
I remember the coventry fans coming over to our end after the final whistle and getting chased out of the ground

I remember that game as well. The first half in particular was appalling from a Blades point of view. To say we were completely overrun would be an under statement. They were 2-0 up at half time and it should have been at least double that.

The second half performance was much better, but I still remember being utterly depressed after the game, thinking we were definitely going to blow promotion.

As for the Ricoh, I thought the view of the pitch was excellent, but it just did not have the atmosphere of Highfield Road. It all seemed very flat and even the home supporters seemed to find it hard to generate any enthusiasm despite the fact they were playing us off the park. Much preferred Highfield Road.

Yeah the Ricoh just felt so artificial. Not like any other ground I've been to. Highfield Road was a proper football ground with character and atmosphere but the Ricoh was the polar opposite.

I hope that wasn't the main reason they were fired up, we need to see that every game.

Wasn't that the one where it was a virtual riot in a brick strewn car park after a mounted copper kicked a ten year old in the head and was dragged of the horse by his Dad?
