I renewed mine online but it charged me an admin fee.

There's £1.50 I'm never going to see again...

I agree with pretty much everything that has been said so far. The whole official site needs massively improving, it is terrible! I seem to remember someone on here posting a link to the Man City website once as an example of how it should be done. It was much more appealing on the eye. There should be more links on the official page with social networking sites etc. that are massively popular now (Man City again have a Flickr gallery that fans can add photos to....I know Foxy & Linz did something similar on here too). There can be much more emphasis and interaction with the fans then.

Maybe the club could show clips of past games on the big screen. Or for example when we play Leeds show Jags' goal etc. It would probably psych fans up a bit more (if they're not already). Something similar could be done online too, for example, once a week show some old footage that might be relevant to that week.

This is not entirely related to the fans experience. But why doesn't the club advertise Bramall Lane as a concernt venue (maybe they do) for over the summer months. Coventry and Sunderland seem to have done it a lot in recent years. It would bring in extra revenue for the club.

I missed the ticket office closing time for the discount, so tried the online system and found it still at the cheap price. The admin fee was a price I was delighted to pay. :)

Ive heard that if you score more than the opposition, you get something called a "Win?" sounds nice to me, would love to see one of these in 2011.

It's never going to compete with the new shiny stadiums because the infrastructure isn't there. The car park is too small, the roads around aren't suited too well to bringing in the trucks that large gigs need for gear, and there are better venues for big concerts in the - area Don Valley and Sheffield Arena. Plus big gigs knacker pitches - one night's gig can mean the pitch being covered for several days.

As touched on above but I think it makes a big difference - the atmosphere. The best games have the best atmosphere (chicken and egg I know) but the kop has suffered of late. There are plenty who clearly want to make the effort but they seem to be distributed in a long thin line at the back of the kop. The result is songs started at different times and cancelling each other out. They need to be concentrated centrally (the experiment to the side was a total failure).

Singing section - It might upset a few but I think it's something the club should work on.

Plus we have the Eagles there for quite a bit of the summer don't we?

The things I would most like to see are:

1. Overhaul the catering - with the number of outlets in the ground there should be no need for the horrendous queues. Sometimes it seems to take 3 people to serve a pint, I know they aren't paid much, but some of them don't have a clue.
2. Turn the PA system down.
3. Lose the goal celebration music.

How about a try before you buy for box's. Make prices for box's reasonable. It's tough out there for business's. If you've got an empty one sell it at a lower price the closer it gets to kick off. Some money is better than nowt.

How about selling seats like Easyjet/Ryaniar?
Cheaper at first and dearer the fuller it gets.
There's naff all room between seats.
No standing allowed.
Charge for hand baggage. Bottles should be dearer than bricks and walking sticks the most expensive.
Charge everyone who goes for a piss.
If you're not there on time, the match kicks off without you.
If you pay a bit extra you can get in before everyone else. Sort of easy boarding.
No refunds for late kick off's.
Any extra's cost more like food, drinks, extra time, hat tricks.
Prices are cheaper in the winter than the summer.
The manager and assistant tell you their plan over the sound system and estimate the score.
The stewards are all looker's, and have to wear high heels, and a nice hat.
Sick bags under every seat.
Life jackets for potential suicides on request.
You never know it might catch on.

One I put to the club a while ago but it got turned down, at a time when attendances were on the up.

"A weekend only season ticket" - I live away from Sheffield plus I'm often out of the country during midweek. I used to have a season ticket until I started "travelling" a lot. Buying a seaon ticket now just isn't a viable option any more, because I miss too many games. Because I don't buy one, neither does my son, nor my wife, for the same reason, and hence neither do our grandchildren (eldest 11, youngest 5).

Hence I have all the problems getting tickets as listed above and elsewhere, so we now go to BDTBL, as and when it suits us, as opposed to having a season ticket, it becomes second nature. On the odd chance that I / we could attend a midweek game, we'd be more than prepared to take "pot-luck" at the ticket office.

Is there not a problem with fixtures getting moved and so how do they charge?

It all comes down to ticket prices. Do what wigan did last season when they were getting low gates and make it a quid for everyone once in a while. Cheaper season tickets too. You look at Barsnley and Donny prices and going on ST prices compared to them we should be playing CL football

Also, its over a quid for a tiny brew. What is that about.

On a similar-ish tack - 3 friends of mine decided to become NRS because the fixtures they were most keen to see (eg Oinks, Newcastle) were moved to night games by Sky which meant they could no longer attend (they are LB's). Maybe in future the club could look to refund that % of ST to people inconvenienced in this way. Maybe not an issue as much anymore... :-(

Whilst I'm at it, and catering keeps on cropping up, how about investigating the possibilty of some local restaurants taking over designated kiosks? Who woudnt fancy a tray of bhajis with some mint sauce over them, or a tray of fresh pasta or a slice of fresh pizza? A local butcher to knock up some hot roast beef or pork butties?

waste of fo okin time ..................they listen to nowt ......Tom Hark ring a bell ?

This isn't just a ask a question and pass the answers to the club, I'm genuinely interested in peoples opinions myself.

I'll also make sure they are passed to SUFC, whether they decide to act upon anything included is their choice.

That's a decent idea, if practical problems with specialist cooking equipment could be overcome.

I realise you're too modest to suggest this one raul, but how about a cake stand too? By that I mean a place where you can buy cakes, as opposed to a three tier glass one laden with French fancies.

I'm afraid its same owd Foxy....United couldn't run a piss up in a brewery so much is wrong its hardto find where to start.....my advice would be hand over the match day experience to a marketing company....even paying their fee United would make more ££££££'s and perhaps the fans would have a better day.

How about some of those wank booths that they have in Amsterdam. I was ploughing through the gilders before I was satisfied. It could be a real money spinner when the games not going our way, provided they use a cheap tissue supplier.

:D

1. 12 Month rolling Direct Debit system for Season Tickets. if 10K Tickets are sold using this at £35 per month (min(Kop)), that's approximately £350K per month coming in + there's your other people that pay full price on the day for renewals for Summer recruitment. Win/Win situation and makes Football more affordable. The 8 month one is good but I didn't know when it finished (December wasn't the best timing imo)

2. Words to GCB on the Big Screen is embarrassing.

3. Sort out the KOP's catering.
It's disgusting a the mo and could be a better more important revenue stream for the club.

4. Transparency from the powers that be and don't lie to the fans. Talking about the Premiership is not going to happen. Say it as you said it behind closed doors. If we get relegated: you don';t care in your experience we'll do a Forest/Leicester/Pigs, but the way we are run we'll do a Bradford, Stockport or even Rotherham with KM becoming the Booth Family.

That's all for now

People complained about The MOTM announcement every ten minutes and that was sorted.

Same with the words of GCB on the big screen , so SUFC do listen to the fans to an extent.

Is this for before or after cake?

For the really kinky, it could be an accompaniment.

Get rid of Tom Hark.

Get rid of the adverts on the scoreboard and show useful stuff and more match action instead.

Tidy the outside of the South Stand by getting rid of all the fecking tatty posters, signs, banners and badges - ESPECIALLY THE BADGES! How many club crests do we need in one place to reassure us that we've not made a mistake and turned up at swillsboro or Don Valley? Get rid of the red and white stripes on the stand n'all. When/if the solar panels go up, finish the rest off with more glazing. Show a bit of fecking class for crying out loud. It's our main stand. It's the first bit of the ground the opposition sees when the coach pulls in. Get rid of the council estate pub/tacky bargain shop look.

I have a couple for you foxy...
1) Henderson’s for the pies there's no finer accompaniment. I am sure they would sell a few more pies if they offered the relish!!
2) Smoking at half time on the south stand, it puts me off going for a drink/pie as all the smokers stand near the entrance (kop end). the wind blows the smoke back under the stand, it's horrible, 5 minutes queuing & you feel like you have had your packet of woodbines!!

Great idea, catering at most football grounds is an embarrassment.

I say most, as Fulham's catering was great. Absolutely delicious speciality sausages, that were cooked (not microwaved!!!).

If i had enough funds to buy united, i would definitely sort the catering out as one of my highest priorities.

At Stocksbridge Park Steels you can have your pie in a tray with mushy peas, gravy & mint sauce. Its wonderful!
