H.H Holmes

American serial killer in the 19th century.

He ingeniously constructed a 'hotel' which was basically rigged with traps, false doors and corridors leading to nowhere.
Some of the rooms had trap doors and others were connected to gas pipelines in order to asphyxiate his victims as they slept.
He confessed to 27 murders although some estimates are as high as 200.

How i managed to escape the Durden 'hotel' i'll never know! :P
