HMS Hecky is in full flight and I've just had £20 on us to get the autos at 20/1 the form we are in and 12/19 games left at home is great value IMO

First of all I would drop bomb scare wes he has been very lucky that some of his clangers one vs bristol city and one the other day vs Birmingham where he nearly juggled the ball to a Brum player haven't resulted in goals , Davies should be give at least a chance plenty of games for them both to play a few games and see who is the better keeper

Berge retains his place because he can actually pass a ball and run with the ball unlike fleck who plays like he is wearing knee braces or has for the last 12 months

If MGW is fit as Hecky said then he has to come back in he is the best forward we have and has to play no10 you would think

Mcburnie in for Sharp , sharp played well the second half and took his goal well but he is 38 now and cannot play 3 games a week bill needs a break and a prime athlete like Mcburnie should be raring to go

Billy certainly seems younger than his 38 years (?!). Undropable at the mo but McBurnie will be knocking on the door if he can bag some goals to go with his Birmingham shenanigans.

First word ruined an otherwise decent post.

Wes undroppable at the moment. What has Adam Davies done to deserve a start? Apart from sign some paper?

Wouldn’t drop Wes.

Would consider some game time for McBurnie (assuming MGW isn’t fit) simply to give us a bit more height against West Brom after what happened at their place.

Im not sure , I think he is a clanger waiting to happen good shot stopper but all keepers should be

I can count 3 big ones in the last 8 or 9 games Bristol/wolves & Birmingham last time out

If we aren't gonna play davies then why did we bother signing him

I wouldn't drop Wes but you are right to say he got away with one.

The rest I kind of agree that Norwood, Berge and Gibbs-White ought be be a good three though 2 of them together faltered vs Derby in an insipid display of little creativity, though it was when Hourihane came on that he set up their goal inadvertently. Hecky seems to be playing it coy on Gibbs-White. He may we'll come in from nowhere.

I don't think Billy gets dropped or rested simply because he did very well at Brum and scored a great goal. He's just had the best part of 5 days to recover. He also scored against them last time we played them at home.

I can definitely see McBurnie getting introduced earlier, especially if we are winning and they are chasing and I wouldn't mind seeing Jebbo also come on in the last 20 to stretch them. I'd rather not see Didzy appear and immediately cough up possession in a key area in this one like he has the last few games. Concerned that he is starting to wear out a bit based on his last few appearances.

Agree with the team but with Wes for Davies.
If MGW isn’t fit then Hourihane instead

Agree with all the team minus Wes, he's done nothing to warrant him being benched. Think we need MCB for the physical side of the game too.

Shouldn't have said owt mate, you'll blow his cover.. Shhhhhh...

Wes did the presser this week which means he 100% isn't playing.

Daft to drop a ‘keeper because he might have a bad game. Especially if he’s established in the side and we’re on a reasonable run.

Defenders and a ‘keeper are really a single unit. Our back three/five is really a back four/six. They need to know and be comfortable with each others’ game. This is one reason, among others, why “Sweden’s no. 1” was so poor—they never seemed to trust each other or work together coherently.

We’ve had enough disruption in our back line this season and last. No point disrupting it unnecessarily when we’re finally doing a bit better.

Apart from dropping 3 massive clangers in the past 8 games but yeah I suppose

Keepers generally either have a good game or drop a clanger Wes has gotten away with a lot of bad goalkeeping he has been lucky but he also has made some decent saves in fairness

A poor manager would be like yeah thats fine it didn't cost us a goal , it shouldnt matter whether he costs us a goal from one of them IMO

You be proactive and change it before one of his clangers costs us a big game

With no guarantee that his replacement is better or as good or will not drop a clanger.

Wes did pick a knock up v Brum, looked like his groin maybe? he doesn't fill me with confidence but the shirt is his to lose as far as I am concerned.

Tomorrow if MGW is fit he comes in for Fleck and I would be tempted to go back to Norwood and Hourihane with Berge missing out. Apart from that, I don't think he will change much, would be tempting to bring Goode in for his height and build but we aren't going to drop Bash or Egan so can't see that happening.
