Fallowfields Team to Batter Blackburn

Personally (arguments around attributes and the fact he doesn't exactly seem to be a natural fit as a tough tackling full back aside), I'd suggest after all the discussion on Berge over the past couple of years, having finally found a position and system where he can influence play, use his talent and having just had his best game in a Blades shirt, it may not be a great idea to then shift him again, let alone to full back. Personally.
That's a good point too.

Taken a while to get him to make such an excellent contribution as Saturday. Last thing we want is to piss him about.

At risk of contradiction, same could be levelled at Gibbs-White.

Maybe we leave as much intact as we can from Saturday and if Starbuck, Seriki or Gordon has to Make a first start then better to come into a team brimming with confidence after a 4-0 win than one struggling.

Utter tosh he's played as a defensive midfielder in the champions league
You've made some decent points on this thread but I never get that one.

He's played for a not particularly good European team, In a lower ranked league and that gave him a chance to play in the Champions League where, without checking, his team probably faired poorly.

Basically if you pick a poor enough team in a poor enough league then you could still muster 'Champions League' as a mention on your CV. If he'd played in the knockout stages, fine.

He played great the other day, he's still young and he has lots of potential. But the whole CL thing is such a red herring for me.

Why ? Berge can run perefectly fine and is actually

Peter Dornan played in the European Cup in 1978 for Linfield

Barndoor Bill will be making his first start of the season as he has finally put his boots on the right way round and learnt how to finish (from open play)
Also sharp deserves a run out so he gets his first start this season

First ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Again ?????????????????????????????????????????

interesting discussion. When I said he lacked the attributes of a wing back I was particularly referring to tackling and heading. However as a forward RM he is great - hard to get off the ball and runs through defensive lines as if they don't exist. the run and cross for Sharp's header were brilliant.
