Can't believe anyone would suggest Hodges

Class act. Always wanted to play like him when I was a young un, probably where I got my lazy tag from too :D

Gareth Taylor. He threw his shirt into the crowd and waved goodbye to the Kop to indicate that he was leaving. Cue outcry from the fans. The club relented and kept him. Thereafter he turned crap.

Him and Andy Walker in that few months were a great partnership though - one of the few really good double acts we've had.

Hodges...??? The lad was a lazy fuka at times but the lad couldnt half play when he wanted too. He was the class lad alongside the main man (Deane) that gave us a chance in the top division. Appreciate we all have our opinions but i think we will just have to disagree on this one. I thought Hodgy Hodgy was a top lad and a top player for the Blades. Some of his passing when he was up for it was sublime. Always remember a game away at Palace (who had flogged him to us i think) and he was trying to prove a point to em. He was unplayable that day and ripped em a new one. Fond memories of him tbh.
Have to agree, Hodgy for me was a top player, yes he was lazy, but on his day (and he had many) he was sublime.

With the loaning out of Brayford it got me wondering, who else has fallen from hero status so quickly? This is not a "slag off Brayford" thread. I think it was right to let him go as he just seemed nowhere near the player we first saw. However, when he first joined on loan, he really lifted the club and seemed to have an incredible morale boosting effect on our club.
i've never seen this happen before.. it didn't help that we switched to hoofball to be fair
