Does anyone have the line up of the Blades team that lost the FA youth cup semi final against Southampton in 2005?

No?

May have been something like:

Haystead
Francis Robertson Roma Horwood
Hurst Gyaki Ross Forte
Sharp Marrison

McFadzean, S.Quinn, Binnion, Ashmore, Speight, McGuinness?

Hurst was on holiday with the club he was on loan to. Not sure who played in his position. Wasnt Travis the keeper?

We had Travis Binnion (full back I think) and Nicky Travis (central midfielder), but don't know if they played. Jamie Annerson may have been in goal?

Three of the Southampton players who played in the final played (with varying degrees of success) with the Blades.
Anyone care to guess?
Cranie and Didzy drawing a blank on the 3rd

BUMP.

I remember seeing the lineups for this game as a teamsheet.

Southampton had some reyt players.

Sure i saw the teamsheet on here
Why the fuck would this jump into your mind 12 years on mate!? To then do a search for it is the most random thing I have ever seen! are you bored on holiday?

Because i know 3 or 4 of the blades lineup and playing football with one of them on Saturday.

We were struggling for players this morning after a couple of dropouts. The thought process was to put the lineup pic into the whatsapp chat asking if he could bring any of his mates.

The Southampton team had Martin Cranie, Leon Best, Theo Walcott, Dexter Blackstock etc. in it

Hope that explains the randomness?

The kid i'm playing with Saturday played the 1st leg, but missed the 2nd leg as we opted to put in the new £200K first team signing, Simon Francis at Right Back instead of him

It does, Let you off, I still reckon you are bored away from your daily grind somewhere!

Just had a skim in the match day programmes I’ve got from that period, back when I would religiously buy them.

The semi final was on 7th May. Which was after our last home game versus Millwall (30th April). Nothing in the first programme of the following season (Leicester) about the FA Youth Cup game, or in the pre-season programme when we played Yorkshire CCC in that Bramall Lane anniversary match.

Some anorak on here must have a team sheet or something.

The semi final can't have been in May.

The second leg of the final between Ipswich and Southampton was played on 22nd April 2005.

The Carrier Bag Firm would love to be able to help out.

Sheffield United were knocked out of the 2004/05 FA Youth Cup in the Fourth Round by Derby County on 11 January 2005.

So the original poster got it wrong then.

We didn't even make it to the semi final.
