Put me down for wanting us to win the FA Cup and get a place in Europe, whether it's only available to watch on TV, Radio or Super 8 projector!

When I started watching in the early 1970's I'd already told myself that I'd probably never see this team win a major trophy or play in Europe. The club's recent history suggested that. When I took my kids along in the early 2000's I told them the same. So to be in the situation we are in now, whether we end up progressing on either front, is stuff I never even thought possible and nothing can spoil that for me.
I think by the time August comes round the pubs will be open again. I'm hoping that before then, well before then, we reduce, or completely withdraw, the social distancing rules - and I think we will, because it's the one thing that would make the biggest difference to returning to some semblance of normality from a social and economic perspective. Put it this way, if they don't reduce it, it will be broken on that day for sure by 1000's of Blades supporters, if we were to win the FA Cup.
All a bit premature as someone has said, because there are some other very good teams standing between us and that trophy, but anything is possible. And why not dare to dream? It doesn't make the outcome any less likely and we've not been in such a promising situation during the lifetime of most Blades - so I'm going to enjoy it and if we don't make it then I'm sure that I'll be thinking "great effort lads" rather than "typical bloody United!".
