i know this might be unpopular but i dont know why we are restarting the fa cup. 1st of all because if L1 teams cant play how are they going to do the prelims

but also can you imagine the trophy lift greeted with tumbleweed espically if its Leicester Newcastle or sheff utd. highlight of someone careers greeted with silence
So long as we get to see it, and not Monster Trucks I'll be happy.

Put me down for wanting us to win the FA Cup and get a place in Europe, whether it's only available to watch on TV, Radio or Super 8 projector!

When I started watching in the early 1970's I'd already told myself that I'd probably never see this team win a major trophy or play in Europe. The club's recent history suggested that. When I took my kids along in the early 2000's I told them the same. So to be in the situation we are in now, whether we end up progressing on either front, is stuff I never even thought possible and nothing can spoil that for me.

I think by the time August comes round the pubs will be open again. I'm hoping that before then, well before then, we reduce, or completely withdraw, the social distancing rules - and I think we will, because it's the one thing that would make the biggest difference to returning to some semblance of normality from a social and economic perspective. Put it this way, if they don't reduce it, it will be broken on that day for sure by 1000's of Blades supporters, if we were to win the FA Cup.

All a bit premature as someone has said, because there are some other very good teams standing between us and that trophy, but anything is possible. And why not dare to dream? It doesn't make the outcome any less likely and we've not been in such a promising situation during the lifetime of most Blades - so I'm going to enjoy it and if we don't make it then I'm sure that I'll be thinking "great effort lads" rather than "typical bloody United!".

If they withdrew social distancing completely we’d be allowed in grounds . Cannot see that unfortunately for a good (bad) few months.

Best we can hope for, imo, is to change 2m to 1m distancing. This would allow various businesses, including pubs, to operate commercially. It may also allow for reduced capacity at sporting and entertainment venues. This 1m rule is already in place in many countries.

Fingers crossed for at least this step change in the near future.

They can pipe the sound into Wembley from our back garden ........
They wouldn't have to do that from my back garden .... they would be able to hear us anyway!

I can just imagine the pigs if we were to win the cup .......... ah but, ah but, ah but, hahahaha winning the cup and not being there.

Silly pigs I'd say.............. some people have lost their livelihoods, some people have lost their life, we won the FA Cup and I had to watch it on tele, wow, gutted 😜 ⚔⚔⚔⚔

Think people need to realise the prize money for winning it is 2 million and no share of any massive gate receipts means it’s the least lucrative FA in many decades.

From a financial point of view it’s more hassle playing in it than winning the thing. Going on clubs prioritising finances I think every club will play weakened or even severely weakened teams until the final.
