So, who do we want?

Now we're up in the top flight, there's no "glamour ties" left for us as we play all the big teams anyway. I'd be happy with L1 or L2 opposition preferably away.

If Championship or Prem, get them at home.

It's all a bit crap really isn't it 😂

Not bothered. Unfortunately it appears that cup competitions have become an irrelevance to the club.

Yes but if we get a couple of favourable ties in RD4 & 5 all of a sudden you're in the quarter final. CWAK might start thinking about some silverware.

Away at any ground with 3 sides (Oxford, Fulham, anyone else?) that way we can distract ourselves in the build up with ticket frustrations, memories of John Street days, bets on how many balls leave the stadium during the game.

Wilder did say he would be making less changes next time so if we get a reasonable draw then there's the chance of progression. If we play 11 strangers again next round we won't beat anyone left in at the moment.

Few days after Man City at home and a week before Palace away. No excuse. Having said that, the Man City game is just 3 days after Arsenal:

Sat: Arsenal away
Tues: Man City home
Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon: FA Cup
Sat: Palace away

Not that bothered...any lower division team at home.

Pigs home/away for me.

Although I wonder if Wilder would put our second 11 out for a game like that? Being a fan and all.

Klopp did it.

Beating the Pigs first 11 with a second 11 would be better than the 4-2 for me.

....not getting ahead of myself.

Todger will be along shortly to put you right about this......

Pigs at home would be decent. When was the last time we got them in a cup, my memory is crap, can't be the Wembley Semi-final...?

2000 i think it was. Their first season back in the 2nd tier. Ekoku got the winner i think.

Local-ish away game with not much demand would be good, if it's a lower league team though no chance of tickets for the boy.

Oh and I do not, under any circumstances, want us to draw them lot from the other side of the city in Rd 4.

Perhaps in a later round once we have secured our place in the PL, but at this stage no ta.

See Beans and Roygbiv on the latest BladesPod for my reasoning...

Wayyyyy too much hassle playing them lot right off the back off two probable defeats in the league to City and Arsenal

It would be nice.

Given our 2nd XI are a bit bobbar in areas however, us getting bummed by those disgusting fucking bastards would be a reset to Boxing Day.

Bouncing Day has finally shut them up. We now need, if we get them in the cup, to issue the coup de grace. Strongest XI, exhibition football, batter the fuckers into invisibility. I want pictures of pigfans rooering in t'Green Un ageeyun.

And yes - FA/Leage/Pontins/Rumbelows/Humbrol Paints CUP are all irrelevant to me. What matters more is staying in the PL and keeping our players.

pommpey

Coventry away at St Andrews would be a novelty. Otherwise Bristol Rovers away would be fun and get payback for them taking a point off us there in Tufty's first season.

Leeds away would also be tempting. Chance to put a pin in their season for two years in a row.
