With Davies being sacked and our Colin going there for the short term I hope they don't turn to mr clough. With all his connections I'm sure he'd have to give it some thought and with how he's doing with united he's bound to be in the frame. He seems to be a man with old fashioned values and seems happy at united so hopefully he'd knock back any approach, I for one hope nige remains a blade for a long time to come.

A touch previous here aren't you? What happens when a Premiership team sack their manager, we all going to pap our pants that they may come knocking?

Calm my friend, its all ok.

All depends if Warnock takes them up or not, can't see them wanting Clough in the Premier, they would be looking more towards a Brian Laudrupp type then.

However if they don't go up I would not at all be surprised if they came in for Clough.

My understanding is they will also take the Prince, his investment, the ground and the sunshine as well. Leaving us facing certain DOOM!!!!!

With some of cloughs comments on twitter towards forest, and that he was more than willing to celebrate the win, as well as wave to the blade fans when prompted when we played forest ( if he had any sentiment towards forest I don't think he would have done this out of respect for them)

And I know he played for them, I know his dad was very successful for them, but I just don't think forest is a big a draw to him as people think. And bare in mind, he obviously has a lot of love for Derby! Forest fans wouldn't like him as manager so soon especially after having davies, another ex ram.

That's my thoughts on it, but then again it may just be wishful thinking

Another name on the list of victims of the cup run....

Precisely. That's Muhlensteen, Davies and Powell, with Paul Lambert on shaky ground.

NC will have noticed the hair-trigger actions from their respective boards and thought 'fuck that'.

Now if we can only consign that serial ship-jumper Steve Bruce to the managerial graveyard...

Personally don't see him leaving so soon after his arrival, he's spent a number of seasons with each club he has managed.
If Forest is bringing in Warnock then I'd presume they are looking at him to take over full time, giving him until the end of this season to prove his worth and earn a contract, I say this as it was reported they wanted him whilst he was at leeds.

I agree as I stated in my original post I believe he'll be in this for the long haul as it's in his nature, I'm just a wee bit nervous. I believe we are on the verge of some good times at the lane, mr clough is the man who has pulled us all together and this won't have gone unnoticed. I think your right that nige is a man who likes a long term project and I don't think he'd ever get that at the shitty ground

the news on the grapevine down here in Nottingham, is all the Forest fans do not want Nigel at all, most actually go on to say its would be a major step backwards.

I can imagine how the footballing purists in Nottingham would take to Warnockosaurus thrashing around in the channels.

SKY SPORTS BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS:

Newly instated Nottingham Forest boss Neil Warnock has wasted no time in making his mark on the squad with today's signings of ex Blades Neil Shipperley and Paul Ifil.

"Shipps is an old fashioned center forward who can't run or jump but knows where the net is. He might be a bit on the heavy side but I reckon he can do a job for us this season."

"Paul is an old fashioned winger who likes to run to the corner and get it in the box, which is what I want to see more of. Less of this tippy tappy nonsense, we're not Brazil. I've told Paul to get the ball in the right area and let Shipps do the rest. We'll be hitting the onion bag in no time."

Meanwhile, there are reports circulating that talks with defender and 'top lad', Rob Kozluk, are at an advanced stage.

Talks between Warnock and Forest have broken down...

Dave Jones new favourite for Forest job..

:D

Replace those players with Tommy Johnson and Tommy Black and your bang on.

Maybe Clough would love the job too. But the timing has not fallen into place this time.

Should we fear an interim appointment there? I think NC has got the perfect set up with us with friends and family running the show. Much depends on his relationship with McCabe and more importantly his confidence in the Prince ( who wasn't at the celebration last Saturday). Also Warnock didn't fancy working with the Forest owners so that speaks volumes.

Let's hope Forest appoint Stuart Pearce, it'll take him a couple of years at least to fail and he'll be hard to sack!

Isn't it funny that last Saturday edwards said on the radio when asked about how we hang onto players like harry "etc" he replied by saying, we might have a job holding on to clough if he carries on like this... did they know summat we didn't about davies staring down the barrel..

As for nigel, wasn't he at burton for around ten years or something like that, surely he was approached a few times by bigger clubs in that time, cause he had them doing well, and left for derby when he said he couldn't take them any further...

Don't think he'd leave for forest, i think it would take liverpool, and to attract them, he would have had to get us all the way to the premier league, and proved himself there....

Loyalty seems to be a trait for the Cloughs so I don't think we need to worry...

They wont want clough hes lost one on the trot:p

They'll appoint Warnock. He's made noises about the conditions 'not being right' meaning they aren't paying enough or he wants a longer deal. Compromise to follow and Neil to take over.
