I know loads are of the mind 'Stuff the cup' but I'm looking forward to the draw and it is nice to be back joining at round 3.
With the slightly stuttering form I think it will give a welcomed distraction from the league. Although I don't like mass changes in cup games, it may be a way back to challenge for the first team for a few players.
A lower league side would be welcomed for the third round then not bothered. (Providing we put up a decent performance and get through).

Nah, sod the FA Cup, almost as pointless this season as the Engerland team or the Olympics.

A lower league side at home would be dull but nice on this occasion- Would like us to use it to give the likes of Nathan Thomas, Heneghan, Eastwood, Lafferty a proper run-out and even a couple of the kids. Might help CW who goes out in loan and who stays to challenge for a squad place.

Plus with the next game in mind, it would be ideal to let a few of the usual starters sit one out and avoid any knocks/suspensions.

Then we can draw somebody good in the 4th round and go for it.

Much as I'd love a big tie against Liverpool, or a trip to West Ham to point and laugh at the massive empty ground, our fixture list over the Xmas period is pretty packed and it's the derby again the following weekend.

League 2 club home or away so we can give the fringe players/kids a run-out. That'd be boring but ideal.

Edit: Looking at the clubs in the round, I think Notts County away would be the perfect draw. Easy to get to, decent ground and a big allocation would make for a good day out. They're going quite well in L2 and would fancy their chances if we rest some first-teamers, so it could have the makings of a good game. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't one of the big 6 in the Prem that Blades were drawn againat. I have that feeling. Still at least it is a game rest from the league and depends on how seriously those rich boys take the competition.

1st 2 out, what's your thoughts??

Aye, my in laws live near Ipswich so it's ordinarily an easy trip, but as I'll have been there for a week over Christmas I'm not sure I'll be ready to go back!

I've made sacrifices for the Blades over the years, but that might be a step too far!!

The general sentiment reflects the overall apathy towards this trophy I’m afraid. And it wouldn’t be that much different if we had landed a glamour tie.

Sad.

Literally as dull as it gets

They've probably said the same but at least they are at home. Right now I'm not really bothered whoever we get, I want to get back to winning in the league.
