On another note, does anyone know what time of trains on this particular day?
Trainline app is better and free. National rail app costs money don't it?

Don't think so, if i did pay for it then it wasn't much. I've used it for ages
National rail mobile site knocks both of those apps into a cocked hat. Only thing you can't do is buy tickets.
m.nationalrail.co.uk/pj/home
Not much use is it then if you actually want to buy some tickets..![]()
The question above was about train times not tickets...![]()
The best site I've found is "thetrainline.co.uk" as it allows you to find train times plus the cost of a ticket for all the different bands. It highlights a number of trains around the time you are looking at so if there is a cheap ticket going for a earlier train, you can see it quite easily. I think there is a pound service charge but to save on postage, you can pick the tickets up from a machine. Just use the same card that you bought the ticket with.
Finally, before booking the tickets check the train operator website (the name of the train will be shown on thetrainline site) to see if they offer an extra 10% discount, some do. But as there will be quite a few Blades going I would book the ticket now as the best tickets prob won't be available closer to the day. I think you can pay a cancellation fee (quid or so) just in case you can't make it or you change your plans, and so you can get a refund.
Good luck
I think on thetrainline.com the £1 fee is for insurance rather than a cancellation fee and can only be claimed to cover situations where you legitimately can no longer go (i.e. because you become ill) rather than because you failed to get a ticket for the Exeter - Blades game.
I just thought it was an opportunity for Swiss and Highbury to show off their iPhones...
There is actually no 'official' national rail app, though they do license their data for use. The fact that you can see live progress of each train is a neat feature of some of the apps that use their data, though the fact that you can't actually buy tickets using them is rubbish, and for me that's why the trainline app is the best one.
Cheapest one on the iphone that offers the realtime stuff and also tells you what platform each train departs from (A boon for a perpetually tardy person like myself) is http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/live-uk-train-departures/id438104470?mt=8 OR http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/railcommute/id449841826?mt=8
£2.49 each, which is half the price of the others.
Bloody iPhone users...more money than sense.
