Exeter Away - Last game

Their online ticketing is done via a 3rd party and unlike ours does not ask for a customer number so unless they change their normal selling methods I suspect a sell-out.

The fact that their penultimate home game has been on sale for almost a month now leads me to believe an agreement is yet to be reached, probably dependant on their success over the Easter weekend. Fingers crossed

Exactly my thoughts. Results for Orient and Walsall and nowt for Exeter over the long weekend and we might be closer to an announcement (and some good news).

The Fixtures in question:

Exeter

Scunny (A)
Orient (H)

Walsall

Chesterfield (H)
Charlton (A)

Orient

County (H)
Exeter (A)

Exeter are 8 points from safety (Walsall) with 6 games to go. A win for Walsall on Saturday and/or failure of Exeter to beat both/either Scunny and/or Orient and Exeter are as good as down. I'll be keeping an eye on these fixtures over the weekend.

I was looking at that too Olle; if Walsall pick up 4 points and Exeter none over Easter - not nailed on but not out of the question - Exeter would be 12 points behind with a goal difference of, at best, -30 compared to Walsall's at worst -3. Wycombe picking up 6 points would have the same impact but the goal difference gap is less there.

Rochdale are in the same position as Exeter - same points, goal difference only 2 better so we could, in effect, condemn them to the fourth tier on Tuesday.

Chesterfield might well be the first team relegated on Monday. It'd be sad but you can't concede 4 at home to Scunthorpe and expect to stay up

Don't know about that, but a previous poster's idea (think it was Ollie) of buying something from the Exeter club shop to get on their database sounds a good idea. They do a pack of stickers for £1 and I think they could be selling a fair few of those in the coming weeks.
Won't work, you need to be known to the club by buying tickets from ticket zone.co.uk.

I'll be there, might not be on the away end, but i will be there.

Drawing on my years of experience in these kind of matters, and hatched a bullet proof plan.

Looks like the home game before ours may be a sell out as well then

Yup looking at the below:

and on their ticket booking website, the following becomes apparent.
  1. You can`t return tickets after you have bought them
  2. The tickets for our game are not yet available
  3. The game against Walsall on the 21st, you cant buy tickets for the "Away end" (shocking I know) or Block "M" - which I guess is also given to away fans
  4. The cheapest ticket you could buy, to make yourself known to the system, would be a £5 ticket (+£1 booking fee) on the big bank for an under 18 ticket
Seems to me that that would be a reasonable gamble to make oneself known to the system.

Close SellyOak - it's block A which is away fans' seating. I would have thought they'll only make block M available if the whole of that stand sells out: think blocks G+H in the South Stand at the Lane.

It appears it will be decided by the 1th of April (cheers Swiss): http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/AwayMatches/0,,10418~2419065,00.html?

Makes sense when you look at the fixtures:

If Exeter are to have a chance of staying up, then they need to get some results. On paper all 3 of the above look winnable. There probably looking at needing to get at least 6/7 points in those fixytures to be in with a shout of staying up (depending on other results).

No you need to be on the database.

So...

Was just thinking, why would you have to buy a ticket for the Walsall game just to get on the database? Wouldn't buying a ticket online in the home end for the Blades game automatically add you onto the database? Otherwise wouldn't you need to be on the database already in order to buy a ticket online for the Walsall game? Or is it that the rules are different, so anyone can buy online for Walsall, but for our game you need to have purchased already?

The Wallsall/ leyton Orient games aren't all ticket, so anyone can buy
The Blades game is all ticket and as a result, you need to be on the database (if not already, there'll be a lot of "Exeter fans" getting behind the team for these two big games)

Yes but surely if you buy a junior ticket for a game you will be classed as a junior for the last game and if you turn up with a beard ?
Hmmm, would you? Do they actually store you on the system as a certain type of customer, or just have your details registered. What if I went from being a concession at the time of the Walsall game, to an adult by the time our game came around? Small chance but possible!

wouldn't they take your D.o.B for the first game if you were going for a concession?

If your address is not on the database you wouldn't get past the first stage on the website to pay. But I'd say it would still be risky to purchase tickets for a earlier fixture because I have bought tickets before online for City fixtures and still had to phone up to order because the website couldn't match my details.

It appears we will have to wait until the 13th of April. Lots of Blades will not have enough loyalty points to get in the 1600 odd tickets and will not take the chance of missing out. So they will get tickets by any source possible from that date. Therefore there will be loads of Blades mixed in all parts of the ground.

I know some people who have got 30k+ points and will therefore be certain to get tickets you'd think, but what do we reckon it'll come down to if our allocation remains as it is? I'm hoping 21k will be enough but I'm not convinced!

How many tickets can you buy ;)

What about those who want to go as a family they have no chance if all don't have loyalty points so will have to buy them from Exeter.

Got my ticket for the Exeter Walsall match. Hopefully im on the database for the party now!

Do you think they will smell a rat when they suddenly get their biggest following of the season?
