What ex-players of ours that are still playing, and that realistically we could be in with a shout of getting back, would you want back?

Realistically, is open to interpretation obviously, but i would say it rules out the two Kyles, Jags, and probably Stephen Quinn.

So who would you have back under those guidelines?

I'd take Jon Stead, Cotterill, Kenny and Kilgallon.

Anyone else?

I'm not sure about 'want' but Billy Sharp reckons he'd like one more crack at playing for us. I'd like Halford here again at some point, too.

Forgot about both of those two, and i'd take them as well.

There was a rumour that we were looking at bringing back Nicky Law this summer.

Evan Horwood, Simon Francis, Jonathan Forte (perm) would be decent squad players in this league.

BrownFACT - FACT

Sharp is a good shout and wouldn't be surprised if we saw him again either - especially if we go up this season.

Kilgallon would also be welcomed back with open arms.

Although Im not sure if its Asaba, Kamara or a dodgy Deano with a tash

chris kamara. if hes good enough for welshpool hes good enough for us. and hes only 55.

would love to see reid back,he was the best of a bad bunch the season we were relegated.

Reid
Stead
Ward
Halford
Cotts
Sharp
As all mentioned in this thread would be welcomed back. In fact I'd beg them, in fact id .......no

I'd like to add Rob Hulse to the mix. I remember arguing with plenty on here at the time that to write him off following a return from injury without any pre-season to build up his fitness would be a mistake. It came as no surprise to me that he did well at Derby the next season, and while never returning to his Premiership form has been an effective player for the Championship. I suspect had we not decided to sell him and spend all the money on Henderson that he'd have done well again for us.

Definitely Reid & Halford. Perhaps Ward if he's over his injury problems. Not sure about Killa - probably thinks we're beneath him these days.
What about Billy Clarke & Matt Phillips? Phillips could've had the same effect as Antonio if we'd somehow hung on to him.

Nyron Nosworthy is currently part of a team well on its way to automatic promotion to the Premier League.
