Last night and the chance you gave to players
"Performance wise I was bored and I say it all the time I don't want to be. An important game for us Jayden and Oli Mac not much pre-season, Cam not much football. Issie in the same position missed all of football, so from that point of view important game for us but would be nice to still be in competiton to have those options again."

Anyone give you a decision for this weekend?
"Lots of players in consideration for this weekend. You can do all the work you want on the training pitch but important to get players games"

Archer
"Performance wise we just wanted to get him the minutes, he's not had that progression in terms of minutes behind him, 45, 60, 90. That's the most important thing"

Is he in contention to start?
"Definitely"

Luke Thomas
"With Rhys still progressing, we were hoping Lowey could come through we knew he'd damaged ankle ligaments at Derby on a sprinkler but once playing at top level it was hindering him so he has had surgery on that. Ossie will be out for decent length of time we needed another body there to come and get us back to being healthy in that left wing back"

Change of strategy with loans now?
"Not really, we can have as many as we want but it's down to finances"

Tomorrow before noon the hope?
"Would love it so I could go home and get my feet up for the Everton game and we can prepare"

How close to signings?
"Down the line with things. Loans are strange because you don't know what will hold things up. Could be one thing but could take days. We are down the line."

Waiting on dominoes to fall at other clubs?
"Not for the ones we are looking at."

"Won't have missed much training, bulk of work will be tomorrow because of the cup game on Wednesday"

Tom Davies
"He's in a position where he is going to need minutes but we need to get him in a position where he is ready for those minutes. He's just about had his pre-season and we have to make sure his body is ready to cope with the demands."

Man City last week to opposite end this time against Everton
"Different game but no less challenging. We are building towards what we want to be, different type of opposition. I have seen all of Everton's games and performance wise they should have won some of those. It's going to be a tough game"

Kick-start the season with a win?
"Win against anyone is a great way. If we manage to get three points I will be over the moon"

Two signings tomorrow and three points on Saturday?
"Would be a fantastic end to the month."

"Luke has come in to play and will be involved at the weekend. Lowey and Ben will be out for a while.
Plan was to give Anis some mintes last night but didn't go to plan. Had made all our subs on 60 minutes important that some players were not over-stretched. Fortunately, all those players are in a better place."

McBurnie up to speed for 90
"Will be a stretch for 90 but in contention to start now. He'll be fine training tomorrow and ready to go."

Regarding transfer window, will it be loans and for top end of pitch?
"Yeah"

Different types of forwards?
"Yeah, looking for different types of players"

Confident it will happen before 12?
"We are not waiting on clubs making decisions. In terms of players we know what it will take getting the green light and getting it done is where we are at."

Young players going out?
"They may but two things I am conscious of we can't leave ourselves short. Cat 1 clubs carry a lot more players who are older below their squad and we need to make sure we have the right bodies for training to prepare for games"

Thomas attraction?
"Two things, availability and desire to want to come and play for us. Bringing quality with him and he's hungry. Still things I would like to help him improve at and an easy one to get done."

Everton, given their story right now, is it more important for them to get the three points than you?
"We want to win. What's happening at other clubs is irrelevant. Their story at the minute overshadows those two games I have seen that they should have won. Our job is not about a story or narrative, it's about what's in front. A tough game and one that we want to win."

Sean Dyche's Everton play compared to how he played at Burnley
"Lots of similarities and demands he puts on players. Interesting now with signings and one or two injuries I don't think it's weakened them. They will still have threats in those forward areas."

£30m forward signed this week
"Different world and one we are not in. Not going to get drawn into that we know what our position is. We are not in that place they are one of a few to have only ever been in the Premier League. They have always been shopping in a different market. it doesn't change our aim and goal."

Happy with squad if two more come in?
"I'm happy with it now, good players, good characters, we need more help and want to strengthen to give ourselves the best chance. At the top end of the pitch, what is going to help us score goals? Bearing in mind we are nowhere near the full potential of the boys we have got, considering who we have signed and where we have signed them from.
We need more, we want more but we are happy with what we have done so far."

Ive seen Hecky say he was "Bored" And Mccall said he nearly fell asleep

Its your team you tell them how to play and what style to play its down to you

I've slagged Hecky of in the past for his style of play under a different set of cirucmtances , i fell asleep plenty of game last seasons

It started under wilder.

We move around the pitch like chess pieces.

There is no fluidity or creativity to our play.

We are so rigid it’s like playing a the original fifa where we can only play in straight lines.

That’s why it takes 52 weeks for a new signing to be ready 😂 our system is so rigid

I dont think ts the system i think its been worried to let the players express themselves within the set up

If we get results this season who cares , right now anyway

Actually you’re right… a system is fine (and needed) but players need to have the freedom to express themselves within it and not be treated as robots or conditioned to play that way

That channel has been posting full pressers for Premier League clubs for a while. They were posting them when we were last in the PL.

Yeah someone pointed me at it recently. The post-city game full presser was a lot better than the briefer one on the club channel. Way more insightful, so I go to this guy's channels now, too (he has a few)
 
McBurnie use to do a lot and then come the game he wouldn't be in the squad. Hecky is Mr Sly
 
The new signing comments were funny:

"he was available and he wanted to sign"

Hardly a ringing endorsement for the lad.

Liverpool for loads of money or Saudi for shitloads of money?! At Salah's level he's made for life anyway so has made a footballing decision and not a financial one.

We might be trying to convince someone to sign for us over someone like Luton or Burnley.

because it looks like c*nt in English? I don't know, anyway I like McBurnie since that dream I had where I was giving him a backy on my bike to where we were going to fight some guys until we passed a police car and my bike didn't have any lights on so we had to hide.
