Michael Vaughan now banging the ‘Everton should go for Wilder’ drum.

Is it because they’re scared to death of us maybe going up...?

Sorry....Everton not big enough.

Not only that, neither is Wilder just yet.

Everton would rather go for a name, and Wilders isn’t big enough yet.

Everton under the new ownership regime will want the proverbial big name to manage their egotistical over paid under performing players in blue.... Sound familiar??!!
wilder is too much of a gamble to them, no players they would want to attract would have heard of him.
i doubt any of their existing players know who he is, imagine Rooney on £200k per week been told to chase back by CW in the 80th minute?!

To be fair I think Shrek could cope with that - it’s the complicated things he can’t manage.

Just don’t see Wilder going anywhere at the moment, least of all third bottom of the Premier League.

No Championship manager would turn Everton down, but I think it unlikely they'll approach him anyway. He's too English for a start. Vaughan"s being a bit naughty. My hooves are cloven but I wouldn't hawk Tufty"s name around like that. It"s not cricket.

as a side issue, i would put money on the blades beating Everton at to moment..
going one further, if we went up, with our current squad in this form, i would put us for a mid table finish in the prem.
man city & Kane hotspurs aside, would you be scared of anyone at the lane on a cold & windy October satdi??
would love to see Ozil & Sanchez not turn up......

They both certainly turned up at Goodison on a cold and windy October Satdi!

I'd call Michael Vaughan a twat on twitter...

If he hadn't blocked me a couple of years back for calling him a twat on twitter.

As I said on a thread last week Vaughn told my son to Fuck Off when he asked him in a public Q&A session if he thought Leon’s goals were good in the derby. To be fair, he said that he chatted with him on his own afterwards and he was quite a good bloke - seems he’s just one of those people who like to create themselves a twattish image for some reason - there’s a few on here at times!

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURE IS. MV APPEARS AT 44 SECS.

Shame it didn’t work.
worked everywhere but Everton and Valencia due to their being large kryptonite deposits.. seriously, feel a bit sorry for him.. they sell Lukaku and replace him with the most immobile midfielder in the Prem and Rooney who looks past it these days..

to be fair mate me and you could have turned up there and looked good!!

don't think for 1 minute we would win as many as we are are now in the prem, but CW wouldn't allow a capitulation like that, the shoes would be off...

Long discussion on Prem Managers and possible replacements last night on R5 - Koeman, Koop, Hughes, Bilic, Shakespeare, Dyche and Pulis and Wilder didn’t get a mention.

I think there’s only Everton that could tempt him, they are a seriously big club.

But are they? Bigger than us, sure. But nowhere near Liverpool, Spurs, the two Mancs. Everton are 'sleeping giants' writ large. They last won the top-level championship in 1986-87 and the FA Cup in 1995. That's a looong time without major honours. Everton will go for a 'proven', foreign-sounding name. And as for this talk about Burnley, they're just another team - like Palace, Watford etc. - who will get reeled in sooner or later. Leicester will do likewise but why any manager would even consider them after the way they treated Ranieri and Shakespeare is a mystery.

And I see 'anybody's wife but my own' Ryan Giggs is interested in both the Everton and Leicester jobs. Dream on. The PL isn't the place to learn your trade.

Re CW, I think his love for the Blades makes it extremely unlikely he'd leave at the moment. He's feeling true love here - unless an instant hit at places like Everton or Leicester he'd get dogs abuse. But get used to this constant interest from teams who've lost their manager - it's the price for success. (I don't think they'll be queuing round the block for Carvalhal's services.) If CW does eventually go, it's how football works. The Spurs fans are enjoying their best times in years, but there's a constant background noise about Kane/Alli/Pochettino leaving.

IF CW does leave, I think a team like Huddersfield would be a good career progression. However, I noticed on Saturday that the dog-botherers' fans now use those hideous plastic clackers so beloved by plastic fans.

To be fair, your lad was blatantly taking the piss out of Vaughan! I'd expect, no demand Joe Root to give a similar response if the boot was on the foot.

The only reason Wilder is being talked about is because of his success , did you hear anyone talking about Adkins NO!, what would you rather have? Unfortunately we have to live with it!

I’m sure he will be with us as long as the board has the same ambition has he has.
