What's that got to do with it? If you're coming on here for a wind up, you're wasting your time with me. I'm just trying to have a sensible discussion about the wisdom of taking over a championship club in the belief that they'll just get promoted and everyone gets rich. It doesn't work like that.

Wind up nah, I have mates who support you, your decline has struck me as weird I was trying the to make point that McCabe can't take you forward You are no longer feared in league one when you should be. My point about the chinese stands they're looking at both Leeds and Hull their investment could in theory reboot you

A restaurant on London road is the closest we'll get to a Chinese investor in these parts

Maybe, maybe not. I think anyone who would be prepared to pay what our owners would sell the club for is likely to be an idiot. It's pretty simple; if you want to make money, buy a well run PL club and don't mess around with it. Just ensure you stay in the PL.
if you can't afford a PL club, you probably can't afford to pay for a championship club and spend enough to guarantee promotion. So those who buy championship clubs and below are just gamblers. We've got one of those already and whilst he may make appalling decisions on a regular basis, he does actually care for the club. That's preferable to someone who makes appalling decisions and doesn't give a fuck about the club, the sort that would happily sell the ground for redevelopment if he could get away with it. Which is what we could well end up with.

He's already got the Saudi though, who seems to be a bit of a mug. I'm not sure they'd want to dilute their equity. There does seem to be a lot of Chinese money about to come into Sheffield so maybe he'll come up with some new funding model.

Money hasn't been our biggest problem though, wasting it has been. The ideal scenario would be to be bought by someone who's successfully run a club before, it pains me to say it but someone like Mandaric. Or, of course, for the existing owners to get it right.

Of course I'm not saying all foreign owners are idiots, there are some excellent ones but there seems to be more bad ones than good. I think you'll be OK, providing they keep Pulis for a while and keep your existing directors.

I think we'll be ok First Lai, hasn't spouted some of the rhetoric Fosun and Dr Xia has. If it was dodgy I doubt John Williams would've come after what happened with venky's at Blackburn. we were sold on June 24th giving him time to do Due Dilligence on Lai. Pulis will get until Christmas I think but there's work to do this window now. Lai has said he intends to provide steady investment which is fine with me. The era of the sugar daddy is over. We are capable of a top 10 finish we need to stablise doing that for a couple of years being a team like Southhampton or Everton Then push on So far he's said all the right things time will tell though I'm both scared and excited
