As good as anything from last season, as good as anything under peak Wilderball.

Absolutely fantastic, to a man. Blackburn didn't know what had hit them, and looked thoroughly sick of it all after 20 minutes.

Even the ref had a great game.

UTB.
Spot on - they looked demoralised . I said to my mates that the ref had a good game , if not a bit pedantic at some corners / freekicks.

I actually felt a bit sorry for their fans - top of the league and set up like that! - id be worried if was the Blackburn manager if he continues with that mindset.

Let's be right Blackburn were 💩 and only came to park the bus. When they had to give it a go in the second half they were always likely to concede more. But for some fortunate saves and desperate defending we would have had 5 or 6. We are starting to look the part and we can still get better in certain areas.

Really? I honestly think he was one of the best we have had in a while.

He missed a couple of handballs, but in general he let the game flow, allowed a lot of the physical stuff and kept decent control of it.

All opinions though.

Thought he shirked a lot of decisions on fouls and gave Lowe a yellow for frankly nothing. When booking a player who throws the ball into the crowd which is immediately returned takes precedence to a physical foul I don't rate him.

Just need to stop paying too much respect to teams away from home.
Attack them and to hell with it, lose as a team giving it all, and win as a team giving it all

Thing is, if we took the game to teams away from home we'd probably win more than we lose, we have the perfect away set up, if the team is allowed to think about winning instead of thinking about keeping a home team out
Yes. Win 1 lose 2. It's still a point a game, but with the winning mentality.
Luckily our forum members are tough enough to take the odd defeat without panicking....

I'm lost for words. That was a stunning performance. 23 shots to their 3. 10 on target to their 0.

Was that total football. We look the real deal. Wow, just wow. Am I over reacting.
Yes. We were good, but they were poor.
However it is exciting to look forward if this squad (or a better one) is still together in September

I think we can be better.

And that's the exciting part.

Logic says we should get much better.

We have loads out injured and several talented players waiting in the wings to get regular game time.

I've said many time results can mean very little....so when we win or lose 5-0 I never overreact.
Think the most important bit is to judge us based on a string of performances not short term one-off results
However the performances of late have all been very good...so it bodes well for the future.

Was that total football.

Not a phrase I’d use, but I really like how we can and do play short and long, physically or with flair, solid or open.

Wilder’s team was the best coached side I’ve ever seen, but it (unavoidably) lacked a bit of outright flair. We still have a solid shape and team ethic but the individuals we have now are a step above.

🤞they’re still here in September.

It was great to see a much improved RND and Max Lowe, after the Boro game. RND has that bit of "bite" in his game, fast and aggressive, Lowe similar.

Khadra and Iliman, good grief, surely the EFL will take us to task for being unfair to other teams, having these two in the squad.

I feel sorry for my cousins son,

They live in Ireland and when Blackburn were a top side in the 90's he was just a 5 year old.

So, not knowing any different he chose Blackburn as his club when the rest of Ireland supports Celtic Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Never feel sorry for a glory hunter

Yes and I know it’s stating the obvious but for one win we get 3 points and to equal that we need three draws. We have 21 away matches to play. So only need to win 8 to be better than drawing the lot.

I think the phrase Total Football means every outfield player is comfortable playing anywhere on the park…Which is also true about our team.

And Hecky says we haven't even got going yet....strap yourselves in Blades and enjoy the ride!
