Fucking cesspool on here. Our sense of entitlement is off the scale. I dont even think its reactionary anymore, you seriously believe we should be an upper mid table team. We are playing poorly and are being made to look really poor by some teams, but rather than disappointing (which it is), its become unacceptable to the point of changing a manager that we arent pushing the top 6 teams weve just played close. There is a difference, and thats where entitlement comes into play.

You want every player to be world class or we just write them off as fucking terrible. And if they dont make immediate impacts, then theyre on the shitlist. Its embarassing. These arent 70 million pound players we are signing. They arent 100k a week players. Welcome to the real world where most transfers dont really work out exactly as you wish they would.

I just want my team to complete and if we lose, do so without ' going out the back door' . For me it is not the fact we are losing games, it is how we are losing them

If we lost every game playing like we did against teams last season I'd take it, not happily but I'd know we gave it our all.

We are playing like a bunch of twats at the moment though, and I feel I'm entitled to at least seeing us have a go.

I'm not a big reactionary moaner if you look through my posts, I'll quite happily give time, and I don't think Wilder should go. Just want the Sheffield United that went in to every game and made you think "we've got a chance".

This is why I bang on about Covid being such an enormous factor.

Can we be a fickle bunch of fuckers as football fans generally? Of course.

But the Wilder revolution has been built on togetherness. Reuniting the club, grabbing it by the scruff of the neck and going on a journey. On the march with Wilder's army.

Now we can't go in the ground. And we can't even have our mates over or watch together in the fucking pub. Togetherness as fans, and indeed as people, is being eroded by matters beyond our control.

We can argue about whether that's right for the good of the nation or not, but it's another argument. It doesn't matter. It's happening either way.

A key part of our raison d'etre (us lot) are sat at home stewing over defeats, rather than talking them over with pints and friends and laughing them off. The missus, bless her, was trying so fucking hard to cheer me up when I was seething over our performance. But I found myself feeling wound up with her, because she was saying the wrong things, things which mates you go to the game with wouldn't dream of saying ("Just pick another team" was a beauty...)

Togetherness is a vital word. I'm just not sure how we get it back at the minute.

I think it’s more to do with we never look like scoring more than 1 goal a game and never keeping a clean sheet I understand we’re up against some good teams but it’s basics from what I’ve seen so far this season like crossing etc and a lot of players have just gone way off form since last season just wish we could be like a palace or a Southampton Sheffield’s way off as a footballing city financially though so bottom half prem is the best to expect unless you have that extra level investment I know we’ve thrown a bit of money around for our standards but in this league you pretty much have to and it’s wages too

Disagree, name me a single Wilder season where we have played with as little effort and confidence. Its not like we have spent nothing and should be accepting abysmal performance after performance. The excuses will only last so long, Wilder needs to spend more time bollocking the squad and himself rather than calling fans deluded as he has multiple times in recent interviews.

PS: with the amount of pure bollocks Sheff Utd fans have experienced Post WW2 I think we are entitled to have a team to be proud of and anyone proud of the shite this current lot are churning out (at the moment) is puddled. Wilder and the lads need to reflect and try something new soon.

I agree that some people on here are losing their shit. But let’s be fair most of us have not had anywhere to vent or frustrations with our fellow Blades. There’s something about being at the game that makes a performance like today a bit more bearable.
I’ve sometimes walked out of the lane incandescent with rage, but by the time I’ve walk up to the Cremourne, everything is right with world again.

We could quite easily be out of the bottom 4 after the next two games.

We’ve looked back to our old self again albeit in spells over past few games just a shame it’s come against the big boys. As well as the injuries we’ve been unlucky with how the fixures have fallen we’ve played teams with momentum from last season early on plus Arsenal, Liverpool, ManC & Chelsea in recent weeks.

Next 2 rounds of fixtures could change how things look. Big chance to gain ground on others. Keep the faith
