No he isn't. He will be but not yet. He goes missing for periods in games, his finishing needs work and he often switches off, allowing his man acres to recieve the ball. He's a player that excites you because you know he can beat a man, often two and create chances. He gets you on the edge of your seat more than any current player. He's not the finished article yet, but he will be.

Regarding Seriki and the supposed problem between him and wilder, in the last programme there was an interview with Kalvin Phillips in which he said he was surprised how many times Seriki got the gaffers breakfast for him. If wilder dislikes him so much you would think this would be the last thing the lad would do
Unless he’s putting arsenic in his cereals! 🤣

He rims his mug and rubs the spoon on his ring piece

Might instead of will and I agree with this

Not the finished article but definitely a player ready for the step up and better development within a premiership club
Most young players have periods were they disappear in a game - seem to recall many saying this ()via pigeon or that rare breed verbal face to face communication) about TC amongst others
Not comparing TC to him obviously but look how he’s pushed on since November and his tracking back and press had to be admired

Andre Brooks is better than David Brooks, but will never be as be as good as Iliman. But that’s cool, Iliman will be nominated for a Ballon DORE soon.

We were blessed to see a guy of that quality here, even for a short time.
Wish we could have seen him in prem for us, keeping berge and Ndiaye could have made our season look a little different - more competitive.

If he signed the contract we most definitely would have got more than double we settled for.

They both went on to bigger and better. Sadly, we're a stepping stone for the better/ best players and always will be like the vast majority of clubs.

And seeing him playi with Gibbs White in the side was even better. Gonna be a long time until we have 2 players of their quality playing in our first 11 again.

As they say you dont know what you have until it goes missing. But never mind we will be able to watch Chong and Rothwell in the midfield next season.

The knock on effects of if Iliman had signed would have been exponential. I've thought about it before because he very nearly signed.

For a start he would have been much more of a threat and player as we've seen at Everton too. So there would be games that we would have been in more.

Would it have convinced Berge to stay and sign a deal? Possibly, but I think also maybe not.
I think he was being told by his international coach and agent that he needed to move on. So a move to Burnley might still have happened.

But had N'Diaye signed we probably don't sign one of Souza or Hamer.

At the end of the season too, we would still probably have gone down, but we would possibly have been a wee bit more competitive, maybe not finished bottom?
Of that we can't know of course.
Would Hecky have still been sacked though too?
And then we would have got more cash for N'Diaye you'd have thought.

Was a bit of another sliding doors moment. Just like the more recent one being last seasons PO final.

Would still like to see a bit more of him on the left (as much as his partnership with Seriki is fantastic). Think he struggles to create chances because he's always having to switch back onto his left foot. Which is a shame, because he has a great left footed cross on him that rarely gets used.

Start him on the left and he doesnt get no where near the 5? Goals hes got so far this season.

His shooting is subpar and thats coming in onto his strong foot. His right foot for just standing on.

We dont really play for crosses from out wide anyway. But I am all for it if change tactic & we start getting crosses into the box and early.

Agree on most of it. Apart from berge, even if his international manager pushes for him to be transfered it wouldnt be to join Burnley. That was just a strange move from us and him & pretty much shows that was the only deal on the table.

Yeah true. Just not sure if we're sacrificing 10 assists for 5 goals by playing him inside right. But that's just based on the very short time I've seen him playing on the left.

…and the time that Jack O’Connell was injured.

Anyone wishing to stay up and see if Brooks plays for Jamaica its live on the FIFA channel at 3.00am

No me neither .

Was great to see his name was on the starting line up. quite a big leap for him (I think I am right its his first international call up). Brooks at the world cup... be amazing if they make it.
I assume you mean leap in status rather than skill level - looking at the opposition the highest level played at is about French 3rd division. It actually looks a pretty embarrassing result that Jamaica only managed a 1-0 win considering they've got a fair few prem/champ/players.

Didn't write it very well as I more meant that he will be used to an international break being a rest, so to be flown over, training in a new squad to then starting an international match, physically might have been a lot.

I watched the game and, to me, he was played out of position. He was in midfield and not on the wing and he looked a little lost tbh. Jamaica didn't play well either.
