England or Wales?

Wales - given that they have a better manager, he's more likely to get regular games and they aren't attached to a media circus.

However its a shame we won't get to see him follow in Jags, Walker and Maguire's footsteps. I think he would have forced his way in eventually (although admittedly not as a SUFC player) There is still pride in seeing products of our youth system represent the national team, even if the current set up is a shambles. Playing the percentages though he's better off with Wales.

I'd love him to score the winner in the World Cup Final for England, but realistically if he had chosen England then he'd have started to feel pressure to join a PL team. Wales won't let that bother them. I think they'd be happier taking players getting game time in the Championship rather than a bench warmer from the PL - England can't see past the name on the back of the shirt.

For that reason, from his own point of view he's better off with Wales as he'll get more game time. He'll also get more freedom to play his way during those games too. If he played for England they'd restrict his approach and he'd be made to join in with the laboured pass, pass, pass, hoof approach England always play with.

With Wales we'll be able to watch a Blade grace some of the biggest games in the biggest competitions on the world stage. With England we'd be blaming him alongside the others for yet another underachievement in a major tournament.

Actually, what's more important is who do Scotland think they are? They're shit and they still can't see past the big names mentality. Deluded, which is why they probably have a deluded massive player in midfield instead of Fleck.

Tbf Brooksy's Welsh through-&-through. Was never any question about who he'd turn out for.

What an opportunity for Brooks to train and possibly play alongside Gareth Bale. Can only assist his development and hopefully we will benefit.

Presumably you mean Brooks can assist in the development of Bale by teaching him some of his own skills ;)

Brooks would have gone away to the England camp and returned a cunt

Glad he's gone for Wales.

However I'd rather he only played for us because he's bound to get a career ending injury.
It's just the way it goes for us

Still bouncing are you?

I've got no problem with players who have the chance to play for one or more countries making their choice. Brooks has chosen Wales.
I've got no problem with fans, Blades or otherwise, making a choice of whether to support an International Team or not, and which one to support, for eg based on their heritage.
But, I have chosen to support England. And, like my Club team, I'm going to support them through thick n thin. When United were Garbage. I just got on with it & supported them. When England have been Garbage. I just got on with it & supported them. I have had some great, great days supporting England. Many highs..... Lows happen.....
I've never had a problem separating my Club support from my Country support. I don't mind if Brooks does OK for Wales. But, if I ever see him playing for Wales against England - he'll get a proper Bollocking from me - just like Evans did in Cardiff - as it should be.

After this, Southgate will be lucky if anybody wants to play for him. WARNING! This link does NOT contain flashing images or content that may upset some people. But it is from the Daily Mail. You Have Been Warned. :D
he's left out vardy cos he's carrying a knock .. and replaced him with Sturridge :D
i won't take England seriously until they get rid of that fucking band

England.. playing world class midfielders on the wing since 1972

Brooksy would never have got a look-in with the England set-up.

It doesn't matter how well you're playing or if you're in arse-ripping form ........ if you don't play for the big "favourite" Clubs you've got no chance !!

Southgate is just as bad as many of his ineffective predecessors in that respect o_O

Its one of the reasons that England always fall short of what they need to do ..... :(

UTB & FTP

Are Stoke, Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton, West Brom and Leicester the big favourite clubs then?

More chance of match time with Wales, pure & simple.
Wales are an average team with one world class player (one more than England admittedly). Don't think Coleman is any great shakes either. But they do seem to have a good team spirit.

Don't think he would've had that opportunity with England.
Well no he wouldn't, because Bale doesn't play for England lol
