Absolute class today and my man of the match (with John Egan a very close second). I thought we needed a new left back at the end of last season, but he's been phenomenal this season. Great engine, and his crossing has improved immeasurably. Massive credit to the lad (and obviously Chris Wilder).

If you go and listen to Billy's post match Blackburn interview on the SUFC website, Billy says that Stevens has been putting in lots of practice with balls into the box.

Totally agree that his crossing now is first class - we have two very very good wing backs in Freeman and Stevens.

Improved yes and he needed to be after the last 6 months. MOTM today? Nah, Hendo followed by Egan were miles ahead of the rest.

Good to hear he is working hard at crossing ........ it shows

Tho' Marvs arrival has turned up the heat, but a good response

Although I would like to see Freeman stopping crosses coming in when defending.

Wasn't even nominated for MOM today, unbelievable. Echo everything you say InterUnited.

If Stevens could pick out the right ball when in the final third he'd be worth much more.

Two simple balls in to Billy first half were all that was needed. One he didn't see, the other went to no one at the back post.

He's been much better of late but his inability to use his right foot was laughable today. I can play a 5/10 yard pass under no pressure on the ground with my wrong foot. Why does he continually have to use his left foot? It makes it so easy for defenders. Nothing fancy needed but the coaches really need to work with him as it takes away half his attacking threat.

I felt he could have ran at his man a lot more last night.

He reverted back to bad habits last night. He weighed up taking his man on several time and then passed it inside. He's frustrating.
Agreed, looks like the coaching has stopped, some shocking crosses

Has the physicallity to be up and down all game, still seems to be unsure sometimes about what to do

Frustrated with his crossing last night, considering that it has been much better lately. JOC was putting in much more dangerous balls, first half especially. Also wasn't sure why he kept trying to cut in on his right when that foot was even worse than his left?

It would have been good to see what Johnson might have done for 15 minutes or so.

Oh and on the TV footage, Leon was having [what looked like] a right go at Enda after the final whistle. Leon was pointing at various points over the pitch and seemed to be saying something like 'it happened there, and over there, and over there...'
Could be mistaken, as they could have been talking about anything, but Enda looked a bit bemused, Leon on the other hand looked well pissed off.

True, although apparently Stevens was one of the few who actually tried to get forward with a couple of surging runs.

I can imagine he got to the byline, looked up to cross and found that his 9 teammates were stood in their own half wondering what the fuck he was doing.

They're THAT defensive.

What I find incredible about that is that they were already relegated so why not just allow the players to play their normal game or at least be a bit braver.

It's a fair point, the same will happen with Fleck for the Jocks, he'll get the ball, look around and go 'well move you f*ckers' :)

Their last 4 games tells you all you need to know about their game... 3 of these were at home to a second string wales, NI and Denmark...

0-0, 0-0. 0-1. 0-0.
