Now this man deserves some recognition. I think the majority of our support could see he was a weak link that needed upgraded but the way he has turned it round is incredible! Another fantastic performance tonight and right now he is one of the first names on the team sheet! Up and down the left like a man possessed... keep it up enda!

We signed him from League 2, easy to forget this! He tailed off in his first season at this level but never hid, and I think his lower performance level was due to the loss of Coutts and the broader impact that had on the team.

To say he cost relatively little, he’s an absolutely superb signing.

Agree, he’s defintely upped his game.
Last season he started well, made the odd mistake losing the ball.
After that he spent the rest of the season playing it safe concentrating on not making mistakes.

This season he seems more relaxed, more freedom, not as afraid to mistakes
And he’d definitely benefited from being more possible and attack minded.

Deserves a big WELL DONE!

He's turned his form around, last season he started well and capitulated, now he has someone breathing down his neck for a start, fair play to him because on his day he's unplayable.

he has the ability he showed that last season early on but he got lethargic due to Lafferty being inadequate competition now Johnson is here Stevens is upping his game again

Got his head down and pulled it round.
Playing well at the moment

Surely it's no coincidence that his best football last season was when Coutts was playing, and this season his performances have been so much better since Norwood arrived. They both bring out the best in those around them.

It’s no coincidence that the whole team’s best football was when Couttsy was playing. He’s back!

❤️❤️❤️

Superb tonight. It was like watching Kaiser Franz. There is no higher compliment.
Brilliant at drawing a foul wether it be facing his own goal to get us out of trouble or down the right hand side when there’s nothing on.

And so much more. I know Billy got two but I was struggling to split them for MOTM.

...then the Roller came on and solved my problem. :)

Tonight is not a night to have an argument, but I hope we all recognise that our performances this season have improved with the signing of Norwood. The football against Villa was sublime. Wilder has the wonderful problem of deciding whether we can play with 2 Rolls-Royces?

Agree with all that, apart from the idea that playing two classy players in the same team is a problem. There are enough games to go round for all four of our excellent midfielders to play big parts. I trust we also agree that our performances declined substantially from when we were top of the Championship last time Couttsy kicked a ball?

Agreed. My only slight concern is that 2 Rolls-Royces on the pitch might tempt one or two teams to try to indulge in vandalism. If they work as a pairing, they will be awesome to watch.

Yes, the great thing is having four outstanding (at this pretty high level too) midfielders to choose from, match by match and also to change within the ninety minutes. For much of my Blade-watching career I’d have sold my soul for one! We’re on a welcome high and should enjoy it, even when we don’t win ‘em all.

I'm a proud founder member of the Enda Stevens fan club. I saw only a couple of Championship wing backs I'd have swapped him for last season. Only one close to his level so far this season in Pederson (Brum).Unfairly criticised after a great first season at this level. His performances dipped in the second half of the season - but so did a lot of players. The fact that we didn't have an alternative that Wilder seemed to trust, meant he probably played a game or two too many. It obviously impacted on his performance levels. Wing back is the most demanding position.

I've been the chief of the Enda isn't very good bandwagon. That vehicle has well and truly emptied and gone up in flames. Looks better than at any point last season.

I was completely wrong. And we have decent cover to give him a break :D

He's in machine mode. Long may it last.

Beautiful cross for the second tonight.

Great free transfer.
