Carruthers has huge talent but
When he starts matches for us he tends not to have good games.
Does some great things but then needlessly loses it (sometimes in bad areas) and also he tends to lose his man because he doesn’t like tracking back.
When he comes on as sub, it’s as though he tries too hard to impress.
When he gets the ball he tends to keep hold of it, then once he’s gone past a man or two, only then does he’s think about the pass.
Huge talent but often chooses the wrong option and not great without the ball.
Often looks really good, a bit of show pony with a lot of skill but ultimately he nearly always flatters to deceive.
Would never write him off though. If he gets his mind/ attitude right then in the right team he could still be a real asset.
