I recall something about the European scouting but I believe it was Chris that demanded it be scraped. I believe it was that Jan Winkel being installed as a director of football.

But times change and now the prince is the owner. He has more clout and CW isn’t stupid it has to be some give and take. I don’t see any harm in identifying a good player in Belgium and saying go and have a look at him. Chris will have his own people to go and scout a player extensively and then relay it back to him.

Agree the amounts are big but there are some good Belgium players out there and he managed to play in the first team so he’s no mug. Whether he can cut it in the premiership and is worth the money being quoted I’ve no idea.

I doubt Chris didn't want a better scouting network.
 
What a player at just 22. 6’ 2”, Composure, left footed diagonal pings like JoC, anticipation. This kid is the real deal and if the fee of 9 euros is right, forget about Worrall, Lenihan etc, get him in!

It seems we are back being linked with British based players again. The only foreigner linked too is this GK but equally there’s as many reports on Ramsdale.

A steal at 9 euros, should set a new European record...another first for Wilder and the Blades!
 

I was asked why would we sign a left footer by a poster when we needed a replacement for Bash? My point was, if, according to reports (yesterday) we’re going again for Worrall/Lenihan, this kid is light years in front of them, especially at the rumoured €9m fee. He can easily play Egans role, and JoC if injured. Still in for Cabango and as I said earlier, MvdH was under consideration but was then not considered strong enough or fast enough for our system.

Christ the pool of players we're considering must be large if it includes players we've never seen play before.

club enquires about player on a free? Meanwhile player who wasn’t previously available suddenly becomes available? Player now available is deemed stronger and faster than previous target. Certain members of S4 board in complete shock!

If MvdH wasn’t considered strong or fast enough for our system we would never have been interested in the first place
 
could do with this lad now... has the deadline for foreign players passed?

edit: it's passed.. got a little confused there... but yeah this lad would be great JOC cover!
