Can’t remember which hole but one of the holes on Lees Hall golf club, probably not worth having a knock when the floodlights are on though, you’d lose your ball.

Walking down the par five 6th and looking back from the 18th tee, where I sometimes look for inspiration when completing medal rounds. —— never works.

Did you know that on a clear day Lincoln cathedral is visible from Ringinglow
I had heard that the boston stump can sometimes be seen from higher parts around sheffield, didn't know about Lincoln Catherdral though.
I would advise though when doing this is not to look towards the north of the city as all you see is a brown haze of rust in the air......

I’ve seen a picture once before somewhere and it’s true.

Humber Bridge too.

Edit - York Minster also rumoured see here
Interesting article, mind.
But it states, “Today, any notion of seeing distant Lincoln Cathedral from here is virtually impossible, the area built-up with further housing, restricting the view.”

Yeah I read that after, I think I was thinking of the Humber Bridge picture I posted.

When Yorkshire becomes its own country, i was hoping we might annexe one or two neighboring areas, Peak District, Clumber Park, Immingham docks (for strategic purposes obviously), even Cleethorpes, a decent day out if you avoid the pier area. And I'd always fancied Lincoln as part of a new world Yorkshire but thought it a little bit cheeky, too far away, however if you can see it from Ringinglow why ever not :)

Can see it from the bedroom window at home in Crookes, but only with binoculars because my eyes aren't what they used to be. When the old floodlights were on you could see it easily though.

I wish we had hills in East London. I like hills.
Mind you, go across the Woolwich Ferry & it's very hilly that side.

I know there is a club above ringinglow that has something that tells you what you can see all around and it does say lincoln cathedral. Humber bridge.
And several power stations etc. someone told me you can see Emily moor tower in Sheffield. from top of Albert Road in Heeley. I,m not so sure.
if anyone knows if that is true. and other parts of Sheffield you can see it.

I remember seeing the floodlights from Charles Clifford dental hospital.I was having teeth out. softened the blow just a bit and the dentist was a Blade thankfully.

From mi bedroom window, can only see the tops of the stands but the floodlights still look decent!
