I seem to recall a few fans saying pre season he looked decent?

Thought I would look up what I said from his one game in competitive football for us. This was in the first half!
Ukaki isn't fast enough to be this small.
Under Selles in pre season we didn't look too bad. However when the real stuff started we did!

I didn't think he looked bad pre season tbh. Put himself about and didn't shy away from anything, scored/assisted a few, was no worse than a cannon for example.

As for the league - he's not had a kick.

What’s happening with Nwachukwu?

Surely we need to see him play too?!

Spent a while injured then doesn’t seem to be getting much game time at all. Same Polendakov.

Off to Dunfermline?

Either we owe money to Bord's company if they make appearances in the first team, or Wilder is being stubborn and refusing to acknowledge anything to do with Bord in case it legitimises him and his AI stuff. The fact that Ukaki, Nwachukwu, Polendekov and Zatterstrom were all in the development teams before disappearing without a trace once Bord's name appeared in the takeover stuff, would suggest it's a Wilder thing.

Or (and maybe a more likely scenario) they're just not very good?

I struggle to buy into a conspiracy that Wilder has seen them carving up in training and refuses to use them because they're not his signings.
He "wants to win games of football."

I can't get my head around folk saying "Zatterstrom can't be as bad as McGuinness" etc.
He can.

The football pyramid has a lot of depth to it. The Championship isn't a mug's level. Very different to playing in the Bulgarian or Swedish prem.

Nwachukwu made the bench on Novemberish time. Having seen him I wouldn't say he was banging on the door.

They were scoring and assisting in the development squad, Ukaki looked like he had something pre season, and Nwachukwu even made the bench against Derby.

I know development and friendly games aren't a reflection of championship football, but to go from playing development games to disappearing, in addition to Wilder being a stubborn bugger who only listens to his mates he employs in our recruitment team, it would suggest there's more to than them simply not being good enough.

Ryan Oné also carved it up in pre-season but hasn't been seen since.

I'm not saying Wilder always gets it right, as he allegedly wanted to send Sydie Peck out on loan the Summer before last.. but I doubt he's getting it badly wrong.

Players reputations have a habit of improving when they're not in the side.

Do you have a link to that, please?
