You could see him remonstrating with himself over and over. But still giving it away under no pressure.

The weird thing about our passing last night wasn't just how many times we gave it away under no pressure but how far off target the passes were. Egan especially was missing people by 5+ yards
I agree. Passing under pressure leads to mistakes, but Friday night had many really poor passes when under no pressure at all. It is difficult to understand why.

You think Jack O'Connell was L1 / lower end Championship standard? Wow.
I've seen some bizarre opinions on here, but that...

4th best defence in Prem conceding only 39 goals (Prem Season 19/20)

What's happened to him? His forms dropped off a cliff, admit he's not the only one but last night was his worst game this season! If it wasn't for the injuries we've incurred I would be suggesting dropping him. Maybe needs replacing for next season though.

The defence lacks a dominant centre half, leader, get one of them in and they all look much better. Egan is a quality defender in the job he does, start asking him to do the big centre half role and that's when he struggles, that aint his game. If Goode does what it says on the tin, that defence will be bob on. They'd not conceded at home since October, gone to Fulham, kept a clean sheet and won there. The defence isn't that bad, they tend to struggle when they're coming up against a big centre forward, like Forest on Friday night. There was a chance to wipe out that centre forward and our defender, I think it was Davies, bounced off of him. That was Goode and there centre forward ends up in the South Stand. It's a completely different game then.

I understand the argument that the system and setup made us hard to beat and therefore we conceded less, but it's ludicrous to underrate the lads that much.

Especially Jack O'Connell who was every bit as good as Tyrone Mings who has gone on to get England caps. Easily as good as Dan Burn who moved for £13m this Summer and is a very steady PL centre half. Nonsensical statement.

Love John , thank fuck he's fit , missing his mate Bash and of course his other mate JOC , BOY DO WE MISS JOC 💔

Nail on the head. Yes the system made us hard to beat but JOC is a much better defender and overall footballer than Mings who is decent but overrated.
If he had not been injured and played all last season then chances are we would have stayed up as he knitted the side together so well.
More likely is that we would have still gone down and he would have been bought for good money by a top 10 prem club.

He should play against a striker he hates every week!
