I just had a look at past winners:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/EFL_Awards

Almost every winner has had success at the top level of the game (maybe except Nugent and Kightly)

And also some world class such as Bale, Delph, Clyne, Zaha, Alli

Is it a good omen? Should we be looking at Ollie Watkins? (one of the only who is not already prem)

or maybe Dack, who is mentioned a fair few times in the awards list in various leagues?

I think they’d all fit in with the criteria of wanting to prove their potential at the top level, so could be good ideas for signings

I'm not too bothered about Dack, not sure what it is about him but I just don't rate him that much.

Would love to see us go after Watkins though. Young, scores goals, English. Ticks a lot of boxes. Plus he's had to work his way up through the leagues.

Only issue would be cost, hard to see him going for less than £15 million. If we could talk them down to nearer the £12 million mark I'd say go for him.
