Yes that Alioski is a horrid little runt. A few more offences to add to his charge sheet....

He took exception to one of Bash's challenges so got up, ran after him and did this weird kind of half punch / half rake type motion into his back. Bash just ignored it but had that been the other way round Alioski would have been rolling around like he had been stabbed.

He also had a go at Billy after the goal celebrations had finished because we were too slow to come back to re-start the game.

Finally, it was brilliant watching him spit his dummy out at the final whistle, after seeing Dean give some back to the scummy twohats behind the goal. He was giving it the big un, trying to push through our players to get at him, when he clearly had no intention of doing owt. Cracks me up when players do that.

What a cock!

Agreed HG, but this isn't news. He's been quality for years, even when making a quality effort of salvaging endless interviews with Bobby George at the lakeside, and yet we still have to put up with walking ego's like Gary linneker. I would actually up my license fee by ten quid a year not to see him on MOTD. And i don't even watch MOTD. Opiniated twat. I dont watch much tv but it's infuriating reading about the contracts these people are on. Defies belief. Note to BBC sport, you out of touch, gravy-train imbeciles need to get a grip.

And the new series of partridge is, sadly, shit. That's because coogan is a multi-millionaire.

TBF I think Lineker is a decent presenter but no way justifies the fee paid by the public broadcaster, they should let him go permanently to BT who can pay what they chose, up to them.

Murray would make an excellent MOTD presenter and revitalise a tired show,

As for Partridge I agree it’s a huge disappointment and I speak as a Partridge fan, I put it down to the writing, peak Partridge was the first series of “I’m Alan Partridge” in the Travel Tavern, written by Peter Baynham and Armando Iannucci, Who have had no involvement with the new show.

Can’t stand Gary Lineker. Great footballer but totally below average presenter. Why the hell do the BBC pay him £1.75 mill a year. Only works an hour a week on motd plus spoty and there are so many other much better presenters who are paid a fraction of what he gets. Don’t forget he is employed as a presenter not a pundit so his knowledge of football is irrelevant. He must have a fantastic agent and the BBC have no idea how to spend their ( actually our as licence payers) money!
 
I think Lineker is great to be honest, paid too much but who isn't on the BBC, I bet you get 6 figures for presenting Flog It. Murray is also fantastic and deserves the same wage.

It's slim pickings for sports presenters with personality, it's pretty much Col and Gary, Chiles was alright but Chapman isn't up to much but is miles better than that bald bloke or Gabby Logan.

To be fair their player made a meal of it and dramatically leaped in the air. I'd say the contact didnt warrent that reaction. Also, if it was that bad the player got up relatively quick.
 
A lot of people don't like Gary Lineker because he dares to have opinions and make them known and if you're on TV you're not allowed to be an actual person and have opinions obviously, that makes me like him more to be honest.

He has a good pun in him too on the old twatter when he's talking about things he's allowed to have an opinion on, like football.

Colin Murray is everything Tim Lovejoy wanted to be.
 
I think the EFL on Quest is a superb football programme, and Colin Murray is one of the best sports broadcasters there is.

There are two reasons for this, the first one is that he does his homework on what he is reporting on, and as a result is knowledgable about this subject he is talking about, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he looks in on here fairly regularly to find out himself what is really going and what the fans are thinking.

The second one he allows the football to be the star of the show and whatever he says adds to the football rather than detracts from it.

I also like the punditry on there, it consists of professionals who have recently finished playing, know their stuff and the game inside and out and they provide interesting insights rather than trotting out tired old cliches.

Nail on the head, Sitters. That 'one of the fans' and telling it as it is from the terraces was always something that biscuit Lovejoy tried but failed with. Lacked credibility, always looked forced from the Watford come Chelsea supporter. You just knew he wanted to be in the executive boxes lauding it with the elite. Whereas I can easily see Murray sat in the Beer Engine pre-match necking a pint discussing the finer points of Cwakball with some Blades.

A few months ago I got slaughtered by raul for making the point that Colin Murray is the sort of bloke I could spend all afternoon sat in the pub with drinking real ale and talking football
