You should have seen the state of Len Badger today in town. Looked like a down and out.
Bert should know better it's sir len to you and when ever I bump into len he's turned out well. He's a top blade also, we all have our bad days

At the end of a players contract they will normally go to whoever offers them the best contract and the best opportunities going forwards.

Realistically the best we can offer them both is Championship football, and a contract consumerate with Championship football. If we don't go up, it is nailed on that both of them will choose a move to a Wigan or Bristol City instead of staying with the Blades because the money will be better and the standard of football will be higher. That is the reality of it. Campaigns and new songs, simply won't persuade them to resign.
We will go up. Wigan (and Burton) may well come down.

Don't get me going on supporter adulation IIYB.

I still get tongue tied on the odd occasion that I meet TC, and I once found myself peeing next to Joe Shaw in the Gents in Bailies Nightclub years after he retired, and I totally dried up! :) ;)
I interviewed TC for Sheffield Uni student newspaper in 1972. So awed I could hardly get a question out. Got him to autograph a pic tho! (which I still have)

Bert has never called anyone Sir, never mind an ex footballer. Badger may well be a top bloke but he was certainly having a bad day today.

It's amazing isn't it? I last spoke to TC last year NB. I had a ticket for the TC suite for one of our home games and I was sat with him before the game. He's so easy to talk to but I was still like a young kid who'd just met his all time superhero and I get all daft. I've met and talked to scores of our players past and present including a couple from tonight's England squad and I'm fine, it's just TC, it doesn't make sense really.

He's like my footballing version of white coat syndrome. :)
