Lets get him signed up.

We look so much more assured with him at the back, for me he still needs a partner but if there are no takers for Collins I've got no problem with him making competition with the new purchase and Edgar. His performance yesterday was fantastic.

Edgar is quick off his feet, tall, athletic, reads the game pretty well and for a 'pretty boy' type he doesn't mind putting his head on things whenever possible.

Got back to his early form for me, yesterday was the best I've seen him.

I thought he was solid yesterday and he hasn't really done a lot wrong since joining us. Hopefully we can keep him.

I know it's not difficult but he's the best centre half we've had since Maguire left. If we could find a no nonsense brute to sit next to him that'd be ideal, that's the type of partner he needs. Edgar is pretty capable taking the ball out of defence if needs be.

No, let's sign him if he's brilliant until the end of the season. He was great yesterday but I don't see him as the solution or as the best we could get.

I think Edgar would be a solid signing. Only downside are these Canada call ups so you would need 3 capable centre backs at the club.

I would say the jury's still out on Edgar, NA had to change his tactics after the Shrewsbury defeat, filling midfield to protect the back four. If he returned to a more offensive style would the defence be as secure not convinced on that.

So many threads judging players on yesterdays game
Lets see how they go on in the next month as lets not forget these lads have continually let us and thenselves down whenever we have started to think we could scrape our way out this division
We're not just judging Edgar on yesterday.
Edgar has been a very good signing apart from a dodgy month after he came back from Canada, then was injured at Port Vale - we don't know whether he was carrying that injury or what.

Collins has still looked pretty shaky though... Edgar hasnt.
Mind you, he was brilliant saturday too.

I think Edgar would be even better with another CB alongside him who has a bit of pace, Collins is painfully slow meaning we struggle with pace and have to defend deep.

I don't see any reason to change the Edgar loan yet. As others have said, he's done well for the majority of his loan, but I'm sure if he does well and likes it here we will be able to sign him for nothing in the summer, whereas right now Birmingham are likely to want a fee on top of the loan fee we will have paid for him in the summer.

There's always the worry that when he becomes a free agent it's an auction.

judge ever single time I see you post it is always some thing negative. Agreed we all have our little moans and negatives but come on a little praise wouldn't go a miss every now and again. I am not one of these that will praise there team no matter what but come on. Edgar has put a good performance in and has done on numerous occasions agreed he has had his shakey matches when he came back from international call up with canda. But the Lad has proved he is a good defender and he can help us in this league.

On wages you mean Danny? They'll be no transfer fee this summer but I guess if he does well then we could miss out. Edgar's a good player but I would think we could get a similar quality player this summer when the free agents are out. I still think Edgar needs to prove he is more consistent after that poor spell he had. Encouraging signs though!

He's had a lot more good games than bad but let's see how his hamstrings hold up over the rest of the season. If he stays fit and continues to play well, hopefully, we'll sign him.
