Hopefully he stays until he end of the season he will help guide us up this league is full of hard hitting cloggers we need to combat that.as for the Championship I think we may need someone a little more Atheltic and football minded. Imagine EEL against the likes of Dwight Gayle.

Think about what's going to happen at the end of the season, not now!!

He's stopping!!
Tha'd better be reight our Bob. We're banking on thi kid.

Somebody who's a big mate of Harry McG's Dad kept on telling us that Harry wasn't going anywhere, and he's never been seen again since H left. I dread to think what happened to him. ;)

Are you being serious? I remember when peter ndlovu was white on the game

:D

They've got much better over the years. If you go on the link I posted and look at the blades squad, you'll see their info is pretty accurate.

WTF are people going on about Webster for. He's nearly 30 and a football journeyman whose level is around the 4th division. Millwall is the "best" he's ever been at. EEL is just turned 24 and has the potential to take his career a lot further than Webster ever has. Those who keep harping on about Webster in favour of EEL are talking bollocks.

Sunstroke.

Interesting.......an impassioned defence of 'young' Ethan, agree there's potential there. In response to your critique of Webster, I'm curious to know if this might be another in the longish line of Dan Burn-like players who never enter the hallowed dressing rooms of BDTBL.

I never understood what the fuss about Dan fucking Burn was either.

Anyway, off for a pre-match pint now before anyone winds me up further.

Maybe, but if we happen to go up, the admirable (and I really mean that!) Jake Wright won't be anchoring the defence; nor will any other player currently at the club, including EEL...

Ah, and there we might be faced with the type of puzzle that Wilder will have already considered. Given the rapid response to most problems we've faced so far, it shouldn't take much to imagine how up-to-speed our manager is. Whoever makes a contribution next season, I'd wager that Wilder's thoughts would mostly be fixated on the remained of this season's calendar, who's injured, who needs replacing, who he'll need to bring in during the JTW etc, etc. I'm not quite as draconian as yourself Pinchy, I have a feeling that Wilder will have ear-marked a place for at least a couple of the existing defence, but as with everything, time will reveal who warrants a first team position.

We need to keep EEL for the rest of the season but Wilder will already know if he's good enough to play at the next level. I wasn't that impressed by him today, their centre forward beat him in the air a number of times and the clattering he gave their other forward could have resulted in a goal. I thought O'Connell was much better today and looks like he can easily play at Championship level.

However good or bad you think EEL is, we need that type of defender at the club in this league.

We should certainly try and keep him until the end of the season.

I was unconvinced when he signed, but even if he's reverted to the player I thought he would be of late, it's still good enough at this level.

EEL did OK today, not as good today as O'Connel though. That kid could definitely make the step up if he continues to improve as he has.

I bought he played pretty well today. Won most headers, got a few blocks and tackles in, the odd big clearance. Steady.

He'll never look as good in the middle of the back three. But he did OK, and he'll get better the more he plays in that position. It will probably help his development quite a lot.
