As well as improving existing players like Coutts & Freeman, Wilder has made some great signings this season.

This early promotion gives him plenty of time to identify the new players he wants for next season. What a fantastic position to be in. No need to worry about Plan B - he can focus on Plan A from tomorrow morning.

Let's hope that the board give him the financial backing he needs, so that we don't spend the season nervously looking at the bottom 3 spots.

In Wilder we trust. UTB

I said same thing yesterday on a thread about Kev I think it was.

I firmly believe they will have been quietly planning for next season for a good few weeks. The scouting department will have been very busy and we need the board to be true to their word and splash a bit of cash.

We will have been planning for it all year. We were planning for it when we signed Samir Carruthers at the start of January. Wilder's more than able to plan long term without losing any focus on the short term.

We're now in an absolutely perfect position to move quickly and get business done.

I expect to see us get deals done early and have most of the new signings in for the start of pre season.

We're an attractive proposition now so I also expect some very good players to arrive, certainly if Wilder's given a half decent budget. As long as he is then I don't see us worrying about the bottom 3 whatsoever.

I think there is every reason to be confident next season, I think most fans of most promoted clubs think the same, I just feel that the infrastructure is better than its ever been, and you are right they will have discussed budgets months ago for either scinario, I cannot see the Prince, mccabe and Wilder accepting second best in the short and long term future, have a go at mccabe for the past but as a successful businessman he has people he can trust to do the job for him now in Wilder and Knill, I have enjoyed the ride this season hopefully it turns out to be the start, exciting times I hope.

theres plenty of championship experience in our current squad, that will come in handy, a few will move on as usual and there will be some fresh faces, but I trust CW and Knill to utilise those players who can make the step up , and enhance it where needed

I truly hope you right Ricky, but this is Sheffield United and I don't think I can remember them doing anything early, but seem to leave it to the last minute.
I guess with the better team management in place, it will go smoother
Hope so anyway...looking forward to seeing them in the Championship :D
