No need to do that. I've got a mate in the Netherlands and he tells me the practice there is to set up special clinics in each town where junkies can drop in for a state supplied fix of heroin with clean needles. It cures the dealing and stealing problem to a certain extent and the junkies are not so susceptible to disease due to the hygiene controls in place. They can shoot themselves up to their hearts content and eventually they all die off prematurely anyway due to their addiction. The rub of it is though the Netherlands is held up as a beacon of liberalism and forward thinking for the pragmatic way they handle this problem when it's just a state sponsored extermination programme in disguise. I'm all for it by the way.

Sorry mate but your post is bullshit. Heroin (and opiates in general) are less toxic than alcohol (certainly more addictive!). Alcohol still rates top of the chart in terms of harm to the user and to society (link).

The biggest issue with drug deaths is that drugs are treated as a legal problem rather than a health challenge. The major problem with most drugs (especially when it comes to overdoses) is that they are unregulated; street drugs are often cut to shit, an issue because people are used to using complete shit and then get sold something that is the real deal (i.e. if you're used to cut to shit 20% gear and get sold something that's 40% you're in trouble!), or because it's something synthetic. The biggest cause of heroin deaths recently is because of something called fentanyl, often sold as heroin, but said to be up to 100x stronger. The unregulated market is the cause of most deaths.

Using the Netherlands as an example is problematic because it suffers from drug tourism more than any other western country (which inflated deaths, but they are still below the UK). Empirical evidence from other countries that decriminalised has been incredibly positive.

Portugal decriminalised drugs 14 years ago – and now hardly anyone dies from overdosing

BTW, countries that have followed this sort of model (even ones that have started addressing drug use as a health issue without decriminalisation) have far better statistics than we do! Drug death rate per country:

19th in the world (and almost top in western countries): United Kingdom
59: Switzerland
114: Portugal
111: Netherlands

BTW: when I was a young un, one of my best friend's mum died (he was 14/15). Lovely lad, wouldn't say boo to a goose. He found a big stash of Palfium that been prescribed for his mother, stupidly tried taking some in his grief. Was quickly addicted. He was dead a few months later, opioid overdose. Are you "all for that" too?

There really are some scrotes out there.

Not sure if the link will work as it's from a closed FB group but have tried to post below.

Very sad to hear. The New Zealand town I live in has virtually no crime. No one locks their door and I’ve rented two houses and never even been given a key. Sad that everyone can’t just respect other people’s hard work, privacy and possessions, though obviously it will never happen.

Does plod actually do ANYTHING anymore they don't even tick lads off for cycling on the pavement and apart from setting up non-existent rape trials what do they do, they can't ALL just sit around guarding vital exonerating evidence from the defence solicitors can they?
I think they're more interested in treating football fans like scum.

About as much chance of finding the shits as they had investigating my van break in last month. Everything nicked and on cctv but no chance of getting them. Worse when its your house thats done though i bet. Get some goals today Duff - it’ll make you feel better
put some carpet gripper on the inside of your side and back doors. it stops the twats from peeling the doors open and if it doesn't they can usually get a dna match. ;)

Burglaries are a vile crime, I have never been burgled (thankfully) but, my baseball bat says that they will be carried out if they did come in my house.

It doesn’t work anywhere, except for keeping the particular individual out of commission for a while, but that’s a drop in the ocean. The idea that prison deters the criminally minded is a myth. When you need a ten pound bag, you give no thought to anything else.
Nothing to do with the Xmas drink, it is a pleasure to give you a big like for that one. Cheers.
